when the camera swaps to a couple ERPing out of bounds and a miqote twerking on a male roegadyn, 10/10 feature

I used multiple /icams simultaneously capturing emote use during a theatrical production. It produced a lot of cutscene-like cinematic shots! And then it would randomly grab furniture or someone's back. Excellent tool if a bit unreliable.

How are you able to use multiple cameras simultaneously?

I love the idle cam turning on when going afk. The ambience and mood and extra authenticity brings the so much more life to the game. It makes it feel that much more real, especially since I'm signed on ALL the time haha.

And here I was, using only scroll lock to hide the HUD and nothing more Like a savage

Like Group Pose, you can also drag the Idle Camera skill icon from the general skills list to your skill bar (or just access it from you skills list). You can also use different commands with the idle camera: space (pause the camera switching), arrows (switch views), there's probably more.

The devs are amazing & there are so many great things about that many players do not even realize are available. I had a player in my FC the other day finally ask about how people got different chocobos. They thought it was an auto generator when you did the quest that gave you a different color but realized that mine had recently changed from pink to brown. They had been playing for nearly a year & didn't realize they could actually dye their chocobo. So of course we instantly set about dying theirs and now they're a proud owner of a green chocobo. lol Keep up the good work & please keep making videos like this!!! Cheers!!!

I just noticed idle camera in the menu a day or so ago and instantly almost gave up on it after a blurry closeup of a leaf and a nice examination of the corner of a building. Thank you for showing how I should have been doing it.

I love /icam but sometimes it hovers behind random stuff in small spaces - i like getting housing icams shots but i didn't know about/ icam or /icam Also garlond tools and gamerscape have a lot npc equipment lists!

Been using it myself, though for some reason with it on, it seems to have the ability to log you out whereas it would just let you stay in game AFK otherwise. Didn't know about the targeting either, that's neat.

you can also remove the blur effect by popping the window like /gpose and uncheck depth of field you can also add effects like sepia with it or canvas.

My mind is blown. I was idle camming in Gridania and watching this to learn if there was anything I didn't know about it. When you were on robed man on the rock at 4:20 my idle cam was in the exact same place, at the exact same angle and close to the same time of night. I literally thought somehow I had mirrored your video over to my screen and the slightly lighter time of night difference was due to monitor brightness.

ik late reply, but even if you have it disabled, if you have /icam /icam or /icam in a macro, you can click macro to enter idle cam

I also learned about /bgm recently which is super convenient since I am a musician in the game.

@@confessionconcession6757 disable background music, or enables background music if its already disabled (essentially mutes / unmutes) or you can do /bgm then a number to set volume e.g. /bgm 20

For dungeons I'd suggest setting up a combat macro that let's your character in on the action somewhat. At least you'll be doing SOME damage instead of none.

You forgot to mention, or didn't know, that idle cam also has controls, to disable automatic camera change, or force the change, also to control the camera a bit to get a better framing of the picture.

the real tea would be slow motion. Capturing the right frame the right pose the right moment instead of freeze and unfreeze over and over until you manage to get it right, only to then realize that wasnt great as you thought , starting from over

OR... You could...you know...go into the "Extras" section of your "Actions and Traits" panel and get the button that does this from there... And you NEVER need 3 macros for it. Target self before pressing IC and it'll target you. Target someone or something else and it'll target that same thing... I mean, the button is right there next to the GPose one...

So weird and kind of creepily voyeuristic.

I have a question about /gpose. Is it possible to unlock cam? When i use /gpose it is always locked to me or any other target. Someone told me that it is not locked when he using /gpose. But no idea how to do that.

Here you are using the Icam for all these innocent things and here I am using the icam to spy on my friends or getting close up shots of S ranks/bosses

I did this once accidentially when i was trying out eurka and it chose a player fighting some monsters and man did that look good. ^^ I first thought i was in a cutscene ;D Would like to see that with my character, but i would have to play it than (blind ^^) and i guess that would be like almost impossible. ^^ sadly ;D

I used icam when it launched up until I got an all inclusive zoom in on a unsolicited butt pic of two people spamming /disappointed on top of each other and from that point on I knew icam wasn't for me.

Yes "hidden feature" in traits and emotes and fucking setting.

Lot's of microphone plosives seem to have made their way into the video this time. Which makes listening to it with headphones pretty painful :/

See, I don't play this game because everyone has the shit sooooo zoomed out. I know it may work out better for raids and stuff but I like to actually see wtf is going on and look at my badass avatar while doing so. It just looks like dots running around in a mess when the camera is zoomed way out.
