    Even if it's just an alliance raid, I do appreciate these guides. I know everyone complains about things being too easy all the time but i enjoy a more chill experience with FFXIV honestly.

    This raid series may not have been very difficult but from the story the music and the spectacle it's easily tied with Ivalice for my favourite.

    I like how Thaliak’s attacks all have Greek names. Rather than being the Greek theming I get with most Ancient beings, I figure this is at least partially the influence of his worship by Sharlayan. It reminds me of how all of the Sage’s abilities have Greek names.

    This is my first raid that I've ever done ON patch and I was unfortunately unaware of the reward limit. I greeded on all the gear from the first chest and won samurai gear for my PLD.... I was super confused for the rest of the raid, wondering why I could only pass on everything. Lol Don't know if they ever explain that this is how it works in-game but I wish it would tell you when you get in the raid that you can only receive 1 piece of gear from the raid for the entire week.

  • @Emarella

    @Emarella

    I believe the best explanation the game gives is in the Duty Roulette description. It's still a bit confusingly worded, but they say there that you can only receive one piece of gear per week. Once you get the gear, it also puts a green checkmark on that page until the week is over.

    My second run of this, on the last boss I had a healer rescue me across Menphina's attack. Took me from a safe spot into absolute death, with sliding my body through at least two of the aoe's. It's a rough spot and seems to be where healers hit panic mode for no reason. Otherwise, it's a fun fight with the combination of the different fights meshed into one.

If you put something in there that's bis will be way higher than 1%, so current bis hands for tanks is crit ten, if you make so i do that i could get some crit det then im game. Each raid tier tbh should have the 8man savage in the even patch a week after, then the .5 criterion n savage which gives some bis accessories and as i keep giving the example tank and healer bis this tier was aug tome n tome so criterion could give another 660 ring which would be bis and then the odd patch gives alliance and alliance savage giving us more savage ilvl gear and then little after that an ultimate. That would be perfection and doable in Dawntrail now theyre not busy with XVI which was defo affected Endwalker

    I think you're severely overestimating the skill of most players, myself included. Don't take things too literal either, 1 percenters is used to describe the best of the best, and that doesn't even make up 75% of the player base (being generous there), I've seen gamers across the globe spout what they think are great ideas for games and yet absolutely none of them develop video games for a living. If SE could just pump out content like nobodies business I'm sure they would, but I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say you probably think they are greedy corporate bastards. Lol@@xierotron

    math nerd alert: those are triangular prisms, not tetrahedrons. tetrahedrons are one of the platonic solids composed of triangular faces; in particular, FOUR of them (hence tetra-hedron). the walls that fall for thaliak's attack are clearly rectangular. that makes the shapes prismatic; i.e. they are a base and "ceiling" of triangles connected by rectangles.

    The mechanics themselves are super simple and way too easy, but I wish they were a lot more punishing if you do ever mess up. Right now they take no more than half your health and apply a vuln stack which is negligible because you can easily survive the next mechanic you also mess up and receive another dunce cap tally. As well as being super easy, the fight fight is also very under tuned for the current gear most people have

    @@mythrapi73 KOing isn't a bad thing so long as you learn why you KO'd in the first place. And yet people die left and right. What you might find suitable for yourself might be stupid difficult for others. Do you know the percentage of raiders on WoW? @@OriginalDrGonzo Don't know why you're bringing WoW/hardcore raiders into this when I'm not even asking for Extreme/Savage/Ultimate difficulty. What I'm asking for is more Alliance Raids similar to Ivalice. If you've done those raids on release day, you'd know exactly what I mean and immediately see why the Myth raids are just 24man dungeons, especially when compared to the Crystal Tower raids. The fact that Crystal Tower has more Alliance Raid mechanics than a level 90 Alliance Raid is really bad imho. Even some of the most casual players I know say Thaleia was disappointingly boring because most of the attacks the bosses in Thaleia use they've already seen in MSQ dungeons. The only interesting thing in Thaleia was Llymlaen's knockback, but even that's just a mad dash back into the middle.

    This raid is so easy and intuitive because they've placed markers everywhere with directional arrows (almost too intuitive). Even in blind (first time) with DPS roles and with friends, none of us suffered a single KO because the AoEs weren't punishing at all. Is it really necessary to create a guide for it?

    My mom plays this game, and it's safe to say she's nowhere near as good as you. Should we deprive her this guide because you feel like it's unfuckingnecessary? Not everyone plays games all day every day and it's unfair to assume everyone should play as well as you do. Jesus Christ. There are more people that play this game that aren't as good as you than those who are. Square Enix wants the game to be accessible to anyone that wants to give it a try. Go do Ultimate content if you want a challenge. As per usual the gamer thinks only of themselves and never for others. It's unfathomable to think there might be someone out there who needs a guide and if they do I guess it's just pitiful and they should uninstall eh? This is why I cherish the gaming community. This is why I don't bother to even communicate with any gamers these days outside of what is necessary, because y'all are shallow and obnoxious. I half expect you people to be crowns, rescue people to their deaths and bitch at players struggling in their very first raids ever of Labyrinth of the Ancients.
