Can't get over how fitting Jocat's voice acting was. I'd watch a complete story-cutscene marathon of him voicing the ENTIRE main story.

Don't you just love that the video goes from "haha jocat so silly" to "ALL THE TEARS" halfway through so very abruptly?

The man has some mad skills. Unafraid to clown around whenever he can, unafraid to get serious whenever the time comes. Also, have you seen the video he made where he went into great detail on how he fell in love with the game? The name escapes me but you should be able to tell from its runtime.

Something I learned from Galaxy Quest, The Orville, and Dragonball Z Abridged, was that you can't truly parody something, unless you understand and respect the thing you are parodying. And without that understanding, you wouldn't know when to make a joke, when to play it silly, and when to play it straight. The Lali-ho echoing all the way to Eulmore? Beautiful. The quiet moment of Alphinaud respecting Estinien? Going full "ESTINIEEEEEN!" would ruin the moment. The little cut-off "E-!" makes you snort, but the touching moment is preserved. And the finale of Shadowbringers? JoCat played it dead straight, and enhanced it. Twerking Estinien? To paraphrase Grinding Gear, it was FFXIV in a nutshell: "excessive, but well-executed."

@@PapaDeusVult If he (and Urianger) hadn't claimed to know the warrior of light so well, up to and including hero worship, then they shouldn't have started out by lying about basically everything. They should have known that all they had to do was ask but they chose dishonesty. Then he asked me to take him on my next adventure and promptly died. Twice.

@@25xxfrostxx As someone who's played and finished Endwalker, I'm trying to be careful about how much I say. At least without being 'that guy' and spoil things for whomever might be reading, or Stacey herself. But, I suppose I can say as much that I liked G'raha in Shadowbringers more than Endwalker, personality-wise. I'm fully aware mine is the unpopular take, but I can also see why most other people see him so fondly. Just not for me, though
