[FFXIV] Find The Right Class Class / Job For YOU!
When starting with a new MMO, everyone usually faces the same problem: What Class Should I pick? With so many expansions by now, the massive amount of jobs in FFXIV can be overwhelming for a newcomer. If you start with a class that you perceive as unfun, it can ruin your whole experience and put down a game you might otherwise enjoy. Therefore I am going to help you to find and chose the right class for Final Fantasy 14 in this video. I hope it gives a clear overview what the different roles in FFXIV have to do so you can narrow it down or maybe even find a job that seems suitable for you according to the previews. No matter if Tank, Dps or Healer, every role has their own responsibilities with some being clear than others.

I just jumped back into the game after being gone for a year plus and decided to play Warrior on the first dungeon just to get my basics straight. I told my party this and everyone was very nice, encouraging and patient with me. Even reminding me to put on my tank stance
Although I use all the jobs for fun like a freelancer. But there are weapons I prefer more than others, so I personally tend to focus being a main to the few jobs that I gravitate towards the most.

I just want to make one quick comment on an otherwise good video. Tanks dont really decide the pace of the dungeon. It is very much a party effort. If the party wants to go fast then the tank shouldnt be the one holding up progress just because the tank doesnt want to. The inverse is also true. This is also true for healers. Just wanted to set up our newcomers for success.

Yeah I like and agree with what you said. I think that overall the party decides it more together or rather check for what everyone is okay with. Mostly Tanks / Healers with the amount of mobs pulled usually. I was probably more thinking about raids in which the tanks usually do ready checks & countdowns!

It's an older attitude that doesn't apply to most of ff14, mainly because the damage isn't so catastrophic that mobs can three tap DPS. While as I tank I do get annoyed if DPS run ahead and pull more mobs, it's really not a big deal to pull off of them and it's only making the healer work a little harder.
