I especially love that for Dragoon you’re just getting Nidhogg moves. Like the upgraded chaos thrust is just Ala Morne when he tank busts you in that trial. And Star diver at 80 was just mortal coil. I mean we are the Azure Dragoon so it’d make sense to get abilities from notable dragons right?

For the reaper it looks less like people give him gauge on attacking his mark, but that one aoe marked all friendly and enemy targets, and the follow up ability that summoned the red orbs harvested those marks on all targets.

@@THE2NDRUNNER Isn't the burst strike combo just 2 extra buttons? I main GNB as well and it has 2 new attacks, Paladin has an extra 3. It's not unfair to point out you said it's "not very different" when GNB got 2 extra skills. Why get so defensive over it anyway?

PLD in EW, 5 GCD's in Requiescat window but the visuals are swords now. and it isnt extra buttons, it replaces the confetior button that already exists. GNB in SHB: 2 cartridges to manage, always hold 1 for gnashing combo GNB in EW: 3 cartridges to track, 2 cart spender on its own cooldown seperate from gnashing fang and extra job business from Burst strike continuation. Correcting people who mis-quote me doesnt really concern you.

Me not knowing what’s going on but just coming here to look at the cool visuals and hear Woops lose his mind over stuff

Yeah, there might be upgrades but it's less visible and without skill names and damage numbers it's hard to really tell.

I know the paladin essentially just got more magic swords but hey it looks fun. Summoner stole the show though.

Might actually make me play Monk again, sometimes. I started Monk, only to realize it felt like too many buttons and too much footsie for too little, and heard it only gets worse later. Not having any AoE for the entire Pugilist duration was also suffering, so I wonder just how much the changed (and how far back it goes).

I believe they did confirm that during the Live Letter. Both WAR and DRG can start and keep their buffs going with AoE combos

"They still use the pet" not really but why are you so angry at the fact that pet class use pet ? That's the whole point of the job... That why sch main love sch.

My only complaint with Sage (with the first impressions I got from this live letter) is that it seems like the basic version of the AoE attack is centered on the player. Meaning we now have 3 healers that do that. Taking what they say later in the live letter into account (at least how I understood it), I feel like it'd be better if the AoE attack was centered on the ally you mark for healing. Or at least have it be the enemy target. But still, I'm probably gonna switch my main healing job to it anyways. Scholar doesn't really seem to be changed enough for me to satisfied with it, hopefully they at least fix the Seraph issues...

this makes me buy the game and actually play it but its way to expensive and i know nothing about it
