    I'm new to fishing in FFXIV, but would using the 'powerful hookset' command help you land those !!! fishies? It sometimes helped me

    On "big fish" you don't use the skill patience so powerful hookset doesn't apply to it. Some of these fish have high slip rates upwards of 70-80% chance to get away.
