@@TacticsLive I usually like my characters to fit some sort of theme, something that gives each of my characters, including my generic units, some level of characterization that they wouldn't otherwise have. So recently I began pairing my Bards with Talk Skill, to create the truest of "troubadours". Not so much from an effectivity perspective, but from a "Yeah, bards tell stories, so this makes sense." perspective. Also, I find their abilities to be pretty useful when set to auto-battle as well. I can go around with my more effective characters, while the talk skill is used by the CPU to buff my party, debuff the enemy party, and lay down some status effects.

As you may know I am running a livestream with a custom roster that features 'themed' characters, and I have Speechcraft with a Knight to act as a loudmouth tank. It's really fun and opened a new way to play through the story line for me, glad to see another player taking a similar approach! 👍

@@TacticsLive I think a Knight with speechcraft makes a lot of sense. An inspirational warrior inspiring his allies and demoralizing his enemies, telling tales of ancient warriors that sound entertaining to him but puts others to sleep. Lol

Great video as always. I only found Stall to be really useful in the story up against enemies you want to steal from like Elmdore on the PSX version. I could see it being of some use in PVP though given the right team comp!

In PvP Stall can definitely disrupt some plays and Entice is just devastating! I have a Black Mage with Speechcraft and Entice for my next couple of matches as an off-meta build just to see how it performs. Thanks for watching, glad to have you as always J7Jase! 🙌

@@TacticsLive yep and you get all their equipment as well (why learn 5 steal moves for so much more unless a boss and the remake has elmdor with safeguard) as tame animals you can poach. It takes expert learning especially with arcane strength buffs for their word success and have magic backgrounds. 7:04 yay chicken effect lol that is hilarious to humiliate a low brave enemy who runs into the nearest corner. Equip gun definitely helps rending weapons and speed too, especially with concentration to have tons more chances. 7:45 stall works on bosses. I rended speed with a ninja and used stall so cuchulainn never had a turn lol.

A great support class. Good in perfecting your team.

Thank you, copy tec, good to see you! And I agree, I think Speechcraft is a great skill when you are looking to fine-tune your squad especially when raising Bravery.

Mediator/Orator was one of my favorite jobs and an idea of a challenge run I did when I had time modifying the PS1 version of the game. I made everyone as a Mediator from the start and I was only allowed to "win" fights by recruiting everyone if possible. A "Pacifist" FFT run.

Making the mistake of lowering faith is no good. However, increasing Brave is so much easier with Ramza (and Luso in WOTL).

Agreed with the Bravery on Ramza and Luso thanks to Shout. However, I have to disagree about lowering Faith, as when you get Iaido on mages you don't need Faith anymore, just Magick Attack power. Faith at that point becomes a liability, as you can get full heals from Murasame, and use Chemists to revive if necessary. Using status buffs like Reraise and Regen, Shell and Protect in combination give you that extra survivability to focus on dealing damage, so you don't have to rely on Faith-based skills to see you to victory. That said, thank you for explaining your POV, as conversation about the game is always welcome! 💪

Consider that Orator does not consume MP, they are a Mystic that can be a backup healer or other magic user.

Nice work on the challenge completion! I watched the Chuclainn fight in Lionel Castle Oratory and was happy to see the undead working out for you. I recently completed chapter 2 in a playthrough and had a very rough time without Protect Rings on ALL my characters. 👏

Orator is my favorite support class. Stick math skills on them.

Orator is pronounced with a soft a and a hard o sound. Less "O ray ter" and more "Or uh tore".

question I been crashing lately in final fantays tactics mobile... is there a tip to fix this? this happen when i got to the rivers chocobo part... and right when ramza gets a turn and uses orator skill it closes on me.... really annoyed by this

That sounds terrible, sorry that is happening to you! 😡 I'm not super familiar with the mobile version, but there are some general troubleshooting tips you can take for any apps that are malfunctioning: - If you haven't in awhile, try restarting your phone. You should also let your phone completely die, charge to 100% while off, then turn on again. - I'm not sure about cloud saving, but if you can back up your save file you should so you can uninstall and re-install the game. Those are the only tips I know of off the top of my head short of re-installing Android on your phone. There may be a fix coming soon if the bug is known to SE, otherwise I guess try to avoid using Speechcraft on that stage so you can keep playing.

okay and one more thing? would an army of those dragons at level 50 is enough to beat the game? or do I need to be like higher than that? the only reason why I try to go for entice... as u can see my descriptions my death was three times in a row just because I couldnt beat it otherwise. lol cause as u can see, I am doing a monster only run lol

A lot depends on how you build Ramza in order to fill any gaps that the Tiamats may have. I would recommend using the Beastmaster passive ability and surround Ramza with your Tiamats, and play more defensively. Try to take care not to fall victim to spells when you do have your troops grouped together, however. All monsters is going to be much more challenging, hats off to you for the attempt! 💪

Hi Jon, thanks for checking out the episode! Since Speechcraft pairs well with MA, having a White Mage or even a Black Mage using this as a secondary skill set would be my suggestion to maximize the abilities' success rates. 👍

Is ramza the only one that doesn't leave if the faith is too high and brave under 10?
