All'inizio degli anni 90, sulla ormai dismessa ferrovia della Val Venosta
circolarono diversi treni speciali a vapore organizzati da alcune aziende
turistiche della zona per promuovere il turismo in Alto Adige.
Protagoniste di quei treni furono le 740.293 e 740.038 di Verona alla testa di
pesanti convogli di 11/12 carrozze d'epoca e con la spinta in coda di una
e talvolta due locomotive Diesel D345. La tratta percorsa da questi treni era
limitata alla stazione di Laces perchè le condizioni dell'armamento di allora
non consentivano più il transito oltre quella stazione fino a Malles.
Anfang der 1990er Jahre verkehrten auf der damals stillgelegten
Vinschgau-Bahnlinie mehrere Dampf-Sonderzüge, welche von lokalen
Unternehmen zur Förderung des Tourismus in Südtirol organisiert
wurden. Die Prunkstücke dieser Züge waren die aus Verona stammenden
Dampfloks Reihe 740.293 und 740.038 an der Spitze schwerer
Zuggarnituren mit 11 und 12 Wagen, unterstützt von einer oder
manchmal auch zwei D345-Diesellokomotiven als Verschiebe-Loks.
Die von diesen Zügen befahrene Strecke war von Bozen kommend auf
den Bahnhof Latsch beschränkt, da der Zustand der Bahnstrecke eine
Weiterfahrtfahrt über diesen Bahnhof hinaus nach Mals nicht mehr erlaubte.
At the beginning of the 1990s, several special steam trains ran on the then disused Vinschgau/Val Venosta railway line, which were organised by local companies to promote tourism in South Tyrol.
The stars of these trains were the steam locomotives 740.293 and 740.038 from Verona at the head of heavy train sets with trainsets of 11 and 12 vintage coachs, supported by one or sometimes two D345 diesel locomotives as shunting locomotives.
The line used by these trains coming from Bolzano was restricted to the
the station of Laces/Latsch, as the condition of the railway line did not allow a continuation of the journey beyond this station to Malles/Mals.
