I forgot to mention this, but this strategy might not work well in the original PS2 version. Character's HP are much lower, so they're more likely to be knocked into Critical HP and trigger Last Stand, assuming they even survive. Levelling up and equipping Light Armor to boost HP might mitigate this. I do not own the PS2 version, so unfortunately I can't say for certain.

This does work very well on OG PS2. Infact I remember seeing a very similar strategy on the PS2 version years ago. I just found the video. @@BlueHarvey That video is actually where I learned to use Excalibur for healing. However, they weren't quite able to do it without dying. That could probably be remedied with more Decoy use. It also looks like being at Lv99 gives the PS2 chars the HP needed to survive properly. Unfortunately I don't see myself attempting a speedrun of FF12. I don't know what the runs look like, but the thought of doing it never crossed my mind. Whenever I come back to this game, I plan on playing the Struggle for Freedom mod on PC.

Tried this but often vaan miss basch ( basch no shield just 2 handed weapon ) literraly don t know why. However It seems to give vaan the right Moment to Attack to Bring him into the right loop of" healing " basch , It seems difficult coz 1) vaan can miss him 2) vaan risk to Attack him when he Is full hp and waste the heal

I wish he didn't just one shot my guys even through barrier and bubble. I don't get it. I'm level 82 and this fight on trial mode ended me. I'm so pissed off, I just want to play Weak Mode :(

I used the auto-levelling trick to get my party up to Lv99 for Trial Mode. Unfortunately even at max level, Omega at critical HP hits absurdly hard. This strategy is possible to implement in the Trial Mode fight, but it's difficult since you're thrown right at Omega after beating Yiazmat. Wither and Reverse are always options, if you just want to get it over with and start Weak Mode. Just note that you should probably go into Trial Fight 100 with some way of inflicting Disease, otherwise that battle will be a headache.

So wait why is Omega doing so low damage at the start? 3000 damage?? I went in at level 99 with protectga and bubble up and everyone was getting one shot with 9999 hp 😅 I ended up just using reverse (and I hate the ability too). Didn't feel guilty 🙃

I haven't played FF12 since I uploaded this video, but I don't recall Omega ever hitting that hard at the start. Do you have good armor? I showed my equipment and stats in the first 10 seconds of the video.

I didn't actually figure out the Excalibur healing trick on my own. I found that in another video while coming up with Omega strategies, although it didn't have any measures to stop characters from dying. I spent about an hour refining it into what I have now.

Its the first time i see attacker become healer lol

Why doesn 't boss attack Vaan?

As mentioned in the video, I have Decoy on Basch the whole time, so Omega will only target him.

Compared to the PS2 version, this fight is just lame. Especially if you use only Seitengrad bows.
