    This was a very educational video. And I love the saw! But I should appreciate the video much more if you had the effect sound and sound from the saw than the guitar!

    Excellent saw and system. Well worth it for guys who have patience and care to do the job right. A little set up time in the beginning and a few dollars invested will pay off HUGE. But if you’re one of those know-it-all “old school” guys who fears technology and perceived overpriced tools then it’s not for you. Keep doing it your way (and keep complaining about everything).

    Hello! My husband looks at your videos with great enthusiasm. and I admit to fancy fanatics. Unfortunately, I love her so much, but I can not even buy another used festool brand picike clamp. It honors your work, joy, and skill. I was thinking of staring at Christmas with a nice thing: I'd like to ask you for an autógram with a festoolous greetings: my husband's name is Gábor. please tell me that he would do that favor, because if not because of the proximity of Christmas I would think otherwise. Welcome to your wife's fan

    on a 45° cut you have to hold the saw with both hands or it will come off the railing? for the price they charge for this saw you shoudnt have to. makita has fixed this issue in their saw how come the very expensive festool can't do the same?

    You're wrong, look to the bottom right of the movie, at that exact point, looking at the edge of wood as a reference, and you will see that it is in fact that camera that moves - it just begins to pan before it cuts to the next scene giving the appearance that the rail shifts

    Love Festool, BUT..... I thought all their tool power cords were a universal fit.... Not so..... I opened my TS 55 saw, and the power cord was missing (I may have borrowed it for my older Rotex 90 sander.) So I thought..."that's OK, I have a cord from my brand new Rotex 90". But alas, the newer Rotex power cord does not fit the saw....it is not universal. I can't use the saw. (the reason explained in my reply ,below)

  • @FreqBand

    @FreqBand

    Further research leads me to believe that Track Saws (and routers) require a thicker 16 gauge cord, where as the sanders only require a thinner 18 gauge power cord.....and these have different fittings, to prevent them from getting interchanged. The thicker gauge power cable will fit into the sanders, but a thinner sander cable will not fit into a plunge saw (and the routers), because they need a fatter cable

    Anyone that knocks Festool must be too unskilled to see the difference to why it's the number one. I've used all the imitators and nothing compares to this saw apart for Mafell. This is for the more discerning craftsman rather than the majority of rough chippys out there. The lack in skill speaks for itself.

    Watch Ave's teardown of the Festool ts 55 and you will see why the Chinese made skill saw is better :D The use of bronze bushings and axially loading radial ball bearings with helical cut gears and all sorts of disasters...

    Festool has great inovations in design and pushing tools to be more accurate, but I cant help but feel who has the time for all this faff on trying to produce demands on site? I mean I have been cutting with a Makita circular saw with a straight edge for years and even free hand for less accurately needed tasks. Its a great concept but at the end of the day its just not practical and justifiably priced.
