Hi, do you always put the rods and fence or in this case the sliding gage on the rail next to the tighting nob on the router? In other words should the fence or any other accessories that attract to the router be mounted on the side of the router that has the black tighting knob? Iv seen many videos with the fence on the opposite side. I know the fence fits both sides of the router but I always wanted to know which side is the correct side

Back cutting a few millimeters from the finish end will help control tear out. However, a sacrificial backing board can yield perfect results.

Thought you were going to show how to cut tenons for style and rails instead of breadboard. Guess you stack several at once? Why not back cut with router bit 1 or 2 mm first before routing to final depth to help prevent tear out?

hi, at 16:32 I can see that after the first pass there was a quite a splinter at the very end of the workpiece so is there a way to avoid this?

Good job. If you have a shaper, the best way to do this is with two equal diameter cutters and a spacer. You could possibly do the same thing with the 2200, two equal cutters and a spacer, set up ideally in a router table. I used to use a Sueri Alfredo ten hp three phase machine with a sliding table. I realize that most people don't have that kind of equipment of course.
