Pandit Anindoo Chatterjee is the best soloist I have ever heard. He has authentic knowledge of tabla and his modesty is amazing.

But I'm not 100% sure that Pt. Ramesh Mishra ji is Pt. Pankaj ji's grandfather. But obviously sure that Pt. Pankaj ji is from Pt. Ramesh Mishra ji's gharana, Benaras Gharana. Pandit Anindo Chatterjee is a genuinely a very good human being which is reflected in the sweetness of his Tabla. He is a real maestro in the field of Tabla which is seen in his legendary composition and presentation of the bol.

I was not planning to listen to the whole piece but couldn't resist! Also my dad got hooked pretty easily 😂

When I first started learning tabla in 1977, I was lucky enough to first learn from Jnan Prakash Ghosh, Anindo's guru. He was so incredibly humble that I thought he was some sort of replacement teacher standing in for the main teacher for many months. He did indeed leave the position after about a year and Zakir Hussain starting teaching instead. Zakir was such a rock star personality, and so kind, but about the opposite of Jnan in personality as a real showman. After all of these years, the only table maestro who is about as humble as Jnan is Anindo. What a great artist and a great soul. Zakir will always stand out in my most memorable experiences in my studies, but Jnan will always hold a special place in my heart.

This is called thinking beyond any religion. Both are praising each other ,hugging, respecting . That's why music is beyond any boundaries, cast, religion, color ,race. Music is God and they are all a messenger of god.

Pandit Chatterjee actually hails from the Farukkabad style of tabla. However all along his life he is one of the most observant tabla players and collects acumen from all walks of tabla-style (or gharana). Which explains why he is so comfortable switching between so many gharanas.

Anindo sir is not only great tabla player but also very good person and very amiable and lovable person.... There are many tabla players in the world but everyone has no broad heart..... Its called two kind of blessings from lord.....one is to be good artist and second is to have good heart. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖love you anindo sir ji. 💖💖💖💖🙏🙏🙏🙏. Pranaam 100000 times.

What a wonderful performance by Pandit Anindya Chatterjee. I have listened his many performances for last 40 years but cannot remember a similar one like this. Perhaps presence of another great Tabla player Ustad Tari Khan in the audience has brought out from Anindya Chatterjee all best compositions from his archive. "Dapat" he has displayed during the entire programme with immense knowledge on the subject and gifted hands on Table is unbelievable. Salute to the organizer for the arrangement of such a great programme from legend Tabla Players

His art is very pure... just like his soul salutes

I have had the pleasure of enjoying Panditjis performance many times but there are very few recordings and presentations such as this. 🌏🙏🏾❤️

I am no musician, nor is my understanding of music any great...but Pankajji literally pulled the strings of my soul with his introductory rendition of the sarangi. No disrespect to Anindoji, but I could just have Pankajji play and play!!

His is such a gem of a person. Very authentic and so incredibly masterful. The tabla has become like an extension of his body. Incredible. Can never get bored of listening to him play
