For some odd Reason, this Clock Tower looks Painfully identical to the one in Kiki's Delivery Service.

I have been there! The Ferry Building is where the ferry boats take off across San Francisco Bay and to places like Tiburon and Alcatraz Island.

San Francisco’s iconic Ferry Building’s clock tower is ringing the Westminster Quarters, which is the number one chimes of choice for a clock tower.

Little Ben was always so cute. Tries so hard to sound like his big cousin in London. ;)

Bumblebee 1 day I'm sure he will. ;) These days, U can always tell with him who is a native of San Francisco & who isn't... we always called him Little Ben, but those who moved in from elsewhere seem 2 just call him "the clock tower". It's like, "Hey, he has a name, people!"

In 1896, Arthur Page Brown, architect of the SF Ferry Building that you see at the end of Market St., died at home in Burlingame of severe injuries from a runaway horse/buggy accident the prior October. At his death, the Ferry Bldg was still under construction & opened in 1898. Brown was driving "a spirited horse" & drove the buggy into a ditch. It really was no surprising event, and what happened was just this: The wind began to switch, the horse, to pitch, and suddenly the buggy, well, it started to unhitch. It was a bitch, and to satisfy an itch, the horse went flying fast and threw old Brown into the ditch, and oh, what happen'd was so rich. The horse began to pitch, the buggy took a slitch, it landed on old Brownie in the middle of a ditch, which was not a healthy situation for Brownie in the ditch. Oh, the horse began to pitch, the buggy took a slitch, and landed on the architect in the middle of a ditch which was not a healthy situation for ol' Brownie in the ditch, who was noted for his final words: "Oh my, ain't life a bitch."

Yep the clock tower has speakers I mean obviously because since the tower is not large there is no room to fit real bells so they would use speakers

Key of F for this baby, E Flat for Big Ben :D bells are F, A, G, C...F, G, A, C....A, F, G, C.....C, G, A, F...then E Flat for the hour chimes :D

There are no actual bells, it's completely electronic. The "chimes" play through speakers that are located in the concourse area just above the clock faces.

It mimics the Westminster Chime like that clock tower in London. In 2012 I thought Big Ben was the whole clock tower and not the bell.
