@@EODFish the spice must flow..I am told. Great vid as always.
I agree with you on price, and that's why I waited till black Friday to pull the trigger on this. I just really like the idea of a tray you can work with in front of you. Working with the dangers over the years, they got in the way a bit.
Picked one up when they first came out. I love mine, fits right in the small of the back without causing any issues when sitting in a vehicle.
lol, I saw it in one of your videos just chillin on the table and thought about saying something but I figured since you had it. In due time youl review it. Not a lot of reviews on this out there. Yours is one of the best. Thank you.

Thank you my dude. I appreciate it.
21st Century Tactical right outside of Fort Bragg makes exact copies of these, as well as Ferro danglers and mini danglers.
Good review. I’m still trying to dial in the amount of stuff I keep in it. It’s easy to overload. I really like way this thing rides on the back of my plate carrier below the plate. It doesn’t add any thickness the way putting it on top of a carrier would. It’s a space that otherwise goes completely unused and stays out of the way.
Although Ferro Concepts make great products this is very similar to Beez Combat Systems IFAK Blunt. Beez Combat has a shear and tourniquet holder, which is a plus, to keeping everything where you need quick access to. Thanks for the review!
Tha smokes coverin my eyes but i cant still see tha huge dub bossman X
Looks like a good candidate for a Gen 2
I use this (coyote) on the back plate bag of my jpc 2.0
Nice
I want to buy this and tell people it's an excellent IFAK design but all I really want it for is a hand warmer in the defense. Command won't get angry if they think I'm a high speed motivator.
I'm a big fan of this thing. Before the Roll 1, my IFAKs (ETS Tall Boy, Eagle SOF IFAK, etc.) hung off my plate carrier like a giant interfering wart. I run my plate carrier as slimmed down as possible... Front = 3 mag placard with a dangler for admin, PTT and a TQ. Weak side = slick (pistol draw). Strong side = radio next to front plate bag, and IFAK next to rear plate bag. Mounted on the bottom of the rear plate bag, FC/FOG came up with a logical place to mount a full IFAK where you can reach it with both hands, it doesn't displace any other plate carrier pouches and it disappears when you don't need it. What other plate carrier mounted IFAK is 100% out of the way? (Caveat: The "Let's split an IFAK into two Ziploc bags and place them in the plate pockets where no one will ever find them" thing doesn't count). The Roll 1 is all about WINNING.

9022 on the belt is 100% out of the way. I don’t personally want my IFAK tied to my armor and believe the belt is where it belongs. That said, that’s personal preference and I don’t hold it against the Roll 1 at all plus I think it could do very well on a two piece belt.

@@EODFish 9022r with the inserts from the old issue UCP ifaks works great
Love mine. I’ve actually found that dispersing the contents more laterally works a bit better than stuffed all together in the center… let’s me stuff a bit more in there. My one concern is that it isn’t tethered to me in any way. Not sure if that is something of note or not. My first thought would be refitting the insert back into the sleeve under my rear plate bag (to simulate stowing it back for further use later, after initial deployment), and it’s doable, but very tricky and finicky. What would you recommend for retaining the insert after deployment? Great video btw XD

You could tether the Roll-1 insert to any PALS loop on the rear plate bag using the USGI IFAK Insert "telephone cord" piece (tied off to one of the looped elastic bands on the ROll-1 Insert). As far as temp stowage... maybe run a BFG Ten Speed .308 pouch on your cummerbund for that role. When not in use it weighs next to nothing and lays completely flat and out of the way.

Just stuff it in your cargo pocket or dump pouch, it’s not rocket science
I like it, but think it’s overpriced for what it is compared to similar items on the market. 🤷🏻♂️
How difficult is the inner pouch to pull out of the outer sleeve when it's mounted on the back.
@EODFish

Unless you really overload it, pretty easy.
9022? Link?
What type of fabric is the inner pouch made of?
@EODFish
2 жыл бұрын
A pack cloth type material.
Disclaimer. I bought one of these to use as a dangler in the front of my chest rig in between the placard and rig, it forces the placard off the chest rig and doesn't work, really dissapointed but for its most intended purpose on the back of a plate carrier I'm sure it works great
@EODFish

Can you move it to where the plate bag closes? That’s where most danglers should work best.
@FreemanConcepts

@EOD Fish I was setting up a chest rig for use without armor (specifically the ferro concepts chesty rig wide which they say it works on their website) would probably be good used in that fashion,I believe that was their main intention of this pouch

If you’re a marine. Buy your own ace wrap. The h-bandage they issue us will not fit

Do you think a regular Israeli bandage would fit okay in there without getting stuck when trying to get the insert out?

Yes but potentially at the cost of a different component.

@@EODFish I think it is a bit unfair to throw a bunch of doubles in the thing and then talk about how it doesn't work optimally. You don't need the extra elastic strap if you pack it correctly with the correct components. I'll send you a pic of mine on IG so you can check out the packing order. Packed correctly, it also rolls up perfectly with the Velcro male/female lining up. Nothing against you. I typically love your reviews.

It’s a carryover from my main concern being an explosive hazard and no organic medical support. I have no doubt that packed exactly as designed it will secure. The outer sleeve had plenty of volume to support the contents I loaded and that’s what I wanted to test. You aren’t wrong though if it came across as a slight against the product.
Bonkers that this can’t be used well on the back plate bag on their own FCPC V5. Have to like put it by the plate
