Ferrite Core Basics - Essential knowledge for EMC Test Engineers
I often jest that the language barrier between EMC test engineers and electronics design engineers can be summed up in one word: ferrites. Back when I was a design engineer myself, many years ago, I had absolutely no clue about what ferrites were or how to use them. Most of the time, design engineers would rely on test engineers to choose a ferrite core if their product failed EMC testing the first time. Unfortunately, in some labs, the practice of blindly selecting a random ferrite core seems all too common, largely due to a lack of basic understanding about ferrite cores. This series is dedicated to addressing these issues, and this is Episode 1 of our journey to demystify ferrite cores.

This is a very good intro, and the exhibition and conference looks great!😊
As a amateur radio operator I can tell you ferrite can be a HAM's best friend. Certain antenna designs, especially non resonant end fed and off center fed dipoles can carry a lot of CMC on the outside of the coax shield. A appropriately sized type 31 toroid with about 11+ wraps of your coax wound through it does wonders for choking off the CMC. Also helps to quiet down receivers by choking off any signals being picked up by the outside of the coax shield. Mike KC3OSD
Useful for all EMC engineers! We post this link on our social media sites!

Excellent! Thanks. Success with the EMC & CI 2024 Conference.
Thank you for the great video and the great explanation.
Thank you! Just what I needed to day actually! You explain very good. When is the next video about the demo in the end?
