@@eMkayRr I think some of the size could be reduced without compromising safety. Halo can stay. Less fuel capacity would help (though would make one refueling mandatory during race). If you want to see wild and unpredictable F1, check out the 1960s decade. Reliability was so marginal and uncertain for the cars back then, that the element of suspense loomed large even going into the last lap of the race. That kind of suspense I find lacking in the modern era of motorsports.

Easier rules to work with; 2003: Introduction of the single-lap qualifying system, later replaced by the knockout qualifying format in 2006 to make the qualifying sessions more exciting and unpredictable. 2005: Major aerodynamic rule changes aimed at reducing downforce and, consequently, speed, to improve safety. Tire rules also changed, requiring drivers to use a single set of tires for both qualifying and the race. 2009: Introduction of KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System), allowing cars to recover energy during braking. The rules also included significant aerodynamic changes to facilitate overtaking, such as the reintroduction of slick tires and a reduction in wing sizes. 2010s 2011: Introduction of DRS (Drag Reduction System) to aid overtaking by reducing aerodynamic drag. 2014: Major changes with the introduction of 1.6L V6 turbocharged engines with extensive energy recovery systems, replacing the 2.4L V8 engines. This was part of a push towards more sustainable racing. 2017: Changes aimed at making cars faster and more challenging to drive, including wider tires and bodywork to increase downforce and grip. 2019: Introduction of a simplified front wing design to reduce the impact of aerodynamic turbulence on following cars, making it theoretically easier to overtake. 2020s 2021: Introduction of budget caps to make the sport financially sustainable and competitive balance. The original plan for major aerodynamic rule changes was postponed to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 2022: Implementation of the new aerodynamic regulations aimed at promoting closer racing and more overtaking. The cars featured ground-effect aerodynamics for the first time since the early 1980s, significantly changing car design philosophy. 2023: Adjustments and refinements to the 2022 aerodynamic regulations, including measures to reduce the phenomenon of "porpoising" where cars would bounce at high speeds due to aerodynamic effects.

Sad thing formula 1 dropped the goal to be the fastest thing that can move on track and started some political decisions and lost this feeling of being a wonder. I doubt anything could beat the projects from 2008 with slick tyres applied. Giving engineers possibility to develop this more, now it would be mamy seconds ahead of the current cars. Those machines had comparable times with current cars even though they had much worse tyres and aero developed, but were lighter, more agile and just spectacular when on the move

The smaller cars made it so much faster, competitive and entertaining

I didn't expect the 2004 car to win. Even with some sloppy driving from this Schumacher guy he was still able to stay ahead at the end. The biggest risk for the 2004 car was to overtake that huge 2023 car. One small touch and it would be sent straight into the wall.

and ever! Always the KING of Formula One
Took me 1 minute and 17 seconds to realize this is not real
I wish the cars would go back to being smaller. Could fit more cars in corners and would likely create a lot more passing opportunities. So many tracks have too many corners that are single file racing.
Even the new car can’t hold back Michael. Memories.

Yeaaah it's a shit show. I"m so glad that 2022 turned out a bit more normal in terms of results instead of wanting all these midfield teams on the podium.... a total joke 2021 was. But at least the cars looked good and were super fast. Nowadays it's just so oversized and slow on turn-in. Not satisfying to watch. The new Ferrari looks like a pig in a 90 degree corner.
2004 straight aggressive, and 2023 tires be glowing in the dark LoL.
Amazingly well done. You'd swear they were real cars on the track, except for those wooden spectators by the fences. Is that right, the older car is actually faster?
The FIA regulations that the F1 teams have to adhered to that makes the car even slower even after 20 years ahead on modern technologies which makes the F1 races itself not as interesting as before.......

No really the same. First the 2004 car has less horsepower, and nonslick tires. No Kers No DRS. And the older still faster and has more passion. Better sound better looking etc
2004 model its like mount a Bull and hold by the horn!
Fun vid but a clear advantage from running wide off track and using that wider line momentum back onto the track to pass no?
20 years of technical "innovation" right there. although the 2004 one gets a 5 second time penalty for track limits
The car has become longer and wider. How to race on the narrow Monaco circuit?
Sonido glorioso color sangre combinación justa bonitas Ferraris !!!!¡
So basically the older cars faster on the straights 😂

Exactly what I was thinking after the first 3 seconds of this video! The V10 would easyly mute the V6. This video is super unreal!
Those cars in 2004 were simply more powerful. Despite the engine and other "dumb down" regulations the 2023 car performs really well.

I'd love to see this actually happen. Come on @skytv set this up sometime.
In the end there are two things we all should agree. First: there is a reason why F2004 had to start from place 2. Second: The older car is by far more agile. And that is what a good racing car should be. Over and out.

Quali time of F2004 at Imola: 1'20"011 Quali time of SF-75 at Imola: 1'18"796 (and that was in Q1, it could be even a bit quicker but then it began raining). This is just an unbalanced game mod.
@Delimon007

And on top of that, the straight up bias when it comes to allowing the richer companies to simply develop better cars. It's not more about the cars than skill, that's just sad.
No way the V10 isn't louder. I was at Indy 04, 05 and 06. Loud as fuck.
