I'm kind of confused by the whole "You're just going to sell it when you're done" comments that are mentioned. If Wizard does the car up to a reliably running, presentable state and then decides to take the option to double his money or more, that's entirely Wizard's choice. Sounds like petty jealousy to be honest. I'm really glad the car is getting some TLC, I honestly expected it to give up completely during the trip in Car Trek 4, so it's earned the work, and regardless of whether it's kept or sold on, it'll be in a much better state than when it first graced our KZread Algorithm.

yes because old school engineers didn't feel the need to improve something to the point it's useless. They realized that at some point work will need to be done and instead of making it next to impossible to do, they made it easy. For eg: ford eco boost 3.5L where the water pump, a regular fail item, is located inside the timing cover behind the timing components so when the seals go, it dumps coolant into the oil pooching the engine.

The factory AC is not good but a vintage air would actually work well. Vintage air would be out of place in this car I think. I would probably repair the AC just to have it but in my experience the windows are better than the AC, then again it could be the modern refrigerants just dont get as cold. Propane is really cold, more like freon, so that could be an option also.

I remember being at the Ferrari dealership in Detroit in the late 80s. I was a young kid nine or 10 years old and I was allowed in the service area. I watched the mechanic back at 308 the rear bonnet was off there’s a couple other things that were off the car but they just did a timing belt service on it and the mechanic was backing it out of the service bay reving it and it sounded so good and it sticks in my mind to this day you’re gonna have a lot of fun once you get that car straightened out.
