|| ABOUT ||
Today, getting what you need is as easy as a trip to the store. From food to clothing, energy, medicine, and so much more, Andy George will discover what it takes to make everything from scratch. His mission is to understand the complex processes of manufacturing that is often taken for granted and do it all himself. Each week he’s traveling the world to bypass the modern supply chain in order to harvest raw materials straight from the source. Along the way, he’s answering the questions you never thought to ask.

Definitely, I have a lot more appreciation for tequila, so thanks for showing me everything Andy.
I really love how this guy talked about tequila. I enjoy my tequila either straight or in a whiskey glass with ice and splash of lime. That depends on the quality of course. I've had tequilas that have been like motor oil and others that taste like caramel or oaky and although both are good the latter are much more enjoyable. Also yes! For cocktails use the bottom shelf stuff. The expensive stuff should be savoured. Like you'd never use an aged scotch in a whiskey and Coke. Don't do the same with añejo tequila
I love a quality reposado! This video is so educational about how the noble, humble agave becomes fine complex tequila
It's meaningful because it's their culture, it's their live. It's really a part of their soul. When things are so hands on, so everyday, all around you, that's meaningful.
I like the way he says bubbles
This is my opinion: I think you might want to upload episodes weekly, if you finished your project, to keep viewers interested so they stick to the channel. KZread's algorithm also likes schedules, so keeping a schedule for a project is good. That may not be possible for every project you have but if you're finished with one I think you should put the episodes up on a weekly basis and not just upload all of it straight to KZread. I understand that this suggestion may not be possible but it's worth a shot. I really want this channel to grow because it shows potential to make the best of the best in terms of documentaries. I mean it already is one of the best in my opinion.

Thanks for the input, we've been experimenting with our format some. These brewing episodes were all originally intended to all be single self-contained episodes. People responded really strongly to the Wheat Beer one and being able to watch the entire processes in one video, however it got lower than average views, likely because it was a longer than average video. That's why we split this one into three parts, to see if that would help attract more viewers, but still made the full series available all at once. We were attempting to do weekly releases before, but producing that much content at the higher production quality we aim for was killing us. Especially since we are making almost nothing off this. We'll be announcing a new format soon that we're hoping will work a lot better with the KZread medium then how we've been doing it so far.

How To Make Everything Seriously I have so much appreciation for the content you put out, it's truly unique and fascinating to watch ❤
I love how the guy described the way some other tequila makers make theirs but refused to say what most people in his position would say that "they make it this way and we make it this way which is why ours is better" he just said they are different
Good quality tequila is so very expensive in the middle east, but now and then I indulge my self with a bottle of Herradura tequila or Don Julio tequila. But my go to tequila is El Jimador which is 100 % agave and good quality tequila.
I just subscribed to your channel! Such interesting projects. I loved how he was so passionate about everything surrounding the production of tequila. The message he wanted to send or has reached another person! Thank you for you videos and keep up the amazing work!

Showing some love for his burned shop. Give the brother a like so he can continue to make content. Good stuff here.
This is a beautiful video, love the way that guy showed you around!
My friend recently went to Cancun and I really love tequila so I told him to pick me up a kind that we don't have in the states (Michigan - at least to my knowledge). So he got me a bottle of Antiguo, I got so excited when I saw it on the distillers hat, currently on a buzz from it right now, cheers!
Awesome Content!! I wish this " How To Brew Everything" series was longer (per episode) and more in depth. I would rather watch stuff like this, thane regular T.V. Your perspective as a new brewer is relatable, but your leg work is unique and highly valuable! Please extend this series. There is much to discover about the fermentation/distilling/brewing process. I've been a subscriber for a long time, I love this channel. Great job!

I think subtitles are needed for your guide, though. He was informative and spoke pretty good english, but he spoke it really fast which made it hard to understand at points. Thanks for sharing our videos! I think we're still in the process of figuring out how to make our format work best on KZread, so hopefully once we figure it out we'll start getting more traction. I debated back and forth on the subtitles, since I feel like he's understandable 90% of the time, but there's definitely a few points it gets difficult. Nice video, I personally own agave fields in the Tequila community and have family that work for the Herradura, Orendain, Sauza and Cuervo Tequileras, Angel is great, top notch on his field, this is a nice little town..I go over once or twice a year,,,but not during their summers, is to hot and not enough air conditioners...

@MayaglezPCs

I live in Guadalajara, Jalisco, so take my advise, there is also good brands and sub-brands of Tequila, añejo is always better than blanco or reposado, but a good brand añejo is far better, for brands I recomend Don Julio, Maestro Tequilero or 1800 brands, taste that añejos and you will like them a lot.
You guys should sign up for Tad. It is a way for viewers to give money, without actually having to give money, but instead they just watch ads.
Jalisiense here. I think that the best tequilas are tapatio. Herradura and jose cuervo. They are the best i have tried.
Tequila Herradura is the best tequila hands down
Maybe you could do a how to make an instrument (maybe a guitar or lyre) making the wooden frame, wood stain, catgut strings, and even use your book to write the music down with, just an idea.
+How To Make Everything I love the first few videos you made because they really emphasized the concept of How to make everything "from scratch". That was what really made your channel really unique and interesting. But I guess, there was a shift away from the concept of "from scratch" and the though the later videos were still nice, they did not deliver the same excitement and interest as your earlier videos. Perhaps viewers are sadistic and love to see how you spent so much money and effort to make a sandwich which tastes horrible? ;)
@IslandHermit
7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, what attracted me to this channel was the "from scratch" theme. I'm okay with the occasional deviation from that, but I'd hate to lose it completely.
Great video! But why did you break this into these short videos? I wanted to see more of Mexico and the people who were working there :)
Uploading more doesn't have to mean filming more.. There must be a ton of footage you cut out. Ideally you should upload a video every day. You deserve way more subs
How to make a bed?
Can you give details step of process after harvesting agve??
Man had a awesome beard
I feel this distillers pain about tequila abuse. I once went to a new years party with an 80 dollar bottle of 2 year old anejo, and about an hour in found people pounding it with the lemon and salt reserved for motor fuel grade tequila. I was...upset. Those people aren't my friends anymore.
Do you know what the red spots are on the agave?

I believe that's a sign of ripeness of the agave and that it's ready to be harvested, like a banana turning yellow.
Imagine being on top of that fermenting chambers then you accidentslly drop a bit of your saliva. 😂😂😂 Back to square one then bois.
Can you do the same thing with pineapple?
@htme
7 жыл бұрын
Despite looking pretty similar agave and pineapple aren't that closely related, so it probably wouldn't turn out that similar. However like any sugary substance, pineapples can and have been turned into alcoholic beverages before. "Tepache" is a traditional Mexican fermented drink made from pineapples.

How To Make Everything Oh wow, that's cool. Thanks a lot for replying. I really enjoy this show
so why do people do the lime and salt? is it tradition or something new?
@htme
8 жыл бұрын
The salt and lime are used to help mask the taste of poor quality tequila. It supposedly dates back to the late 19th-century when tequila started to become more popular and a bunch of lower quality tequilas flooded the market.

Who thinks he should do Phõ? I do! (Vietnamese Noodles)
Not to be a Debby downer or anything but this method of tequila making is not super traditional and is somewhat frowned upon by the tequila/mezcal "professionals". For mezcal, fermentation is traditionally done in wooden barrels and some people get triggered when people use metal barrels and newer tools and stuff. Great video though, it still hit some cool points about the whole process :-p
@eddiespall5651
6 жыл бұрын
i guess the wooden barrel fermentation would lead to a much lesser yield than the metal vats, which would in turn produce less tequila and raise the price of it a lot more. but i bet it’s very good, like using wooden barrels for whisky or something like that.
