Mark, I was the one who commented on a video a while ago suggesting that you start asking people “What is your greatest strength?”. Every time I hear you ask it in an interview I want to tear up. I am so grateful you saw that comment and now I hear you ask it in quite a few interviews. Some interviewees answer very quickly, some take a pause, but there is something so powerful having people talk through what makes them proud of themselves. Faith mentioned her stubbornness, and I truly believe that will play a huge part in her discovering sobriety and a happy, successful life with her son.

This breaks my heart. She seems like a sweet girl who just needs a chance. I hope she will be reunited with her son one day.
I work in a child and adolescent psychiatric crisis unit at a hospital in my city. Every single child/teenager that comes to my floor is a victim of some sort of trauma. The issue is, if it isn’t addressed when they are young, it will augment/fester and persist into adulthood. It’s almost like a disease: trauma can lay dormant for years, maybe even decades, but it will always surface and manifest. Many of these kids are victims of a toxic home environment as well. We do our best to mitigate the potential for kids to experience what she is going through in adulthood.. early intervention is so important.

My daughter was 4 when her dad died by suicide. He and I were together and the only family she had ever known. Things were good but not ideal up until she was 14-15. She started hearing voices and was diagnosed with what I think they now call schizoaffective bipolar(?), and wiith it came anorexia. Thank God she never did street drugs, and thank God the police always took her to the hospital, not jail. She was gone from herself for ten years, and I was prepared for the possibility that I might never get my daughter back. Last year, she was committed to a psychiatric hospital, and I thought that was it. I have often criticized the system we have, but somebody sent her to a new facility in Indianpolis called Neurological Diagnostic Institute, where she lived for two months. The website says they specialize in treating early childhood trauma, using a variety of therapies and treatments. I do not know what they did specifically, but my daughter is well again at 25 years old. I almost struggle to believe it, but it is true. She is still on meds, but she went from 80 pounds to a healthy 136. She had to have all her teeth removed, or what was left of them, and now wears a full set of dentures that are beautiful when she smiles! I am so grateful for her wellness that I tell everyone with any interest about the NDI state psychiatric hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Maybe, just maybe, they can help others get back to living a more enjoyable and manageable life. Thank you for the work you do. Cheers!

These are the outcomes that we hope for at work, and it’s always reassuring to hear anecdotes of successful outcomes. We have a similar situation at our hospital; the police often bring in kids and teenagers with hopes of keeping them out of the criminal justice system. They are making an honest effort not to simply render kids going through crisis’ as juvenile delinquents. Thanks again for the comment; so happy to hear that your daughter is doing well. Please give her my best.

Thank you for sharing this. So many people fall into addiction after an injury or experiencing real pain. I understand she tried drugs for the first time with her mom for all the wrong reasons. However, trying to survived through excruciating physical pain each day is unbearable. Some people truly have no idea, and they are lucky!
This woman has been given nothing, has been horribly abused and abandoned, and how does she sum up her philosophy? “Love conquers all.” She was trying to raise her siblings and care for dying grandparents while she was still a child herself. She was mature enough to put her son in the best situation available for him. I am gobsmacked and in tears. Please try and find some resources to help Faith, Mark. You do so much good work. We would donate. This person needs a chance to have a chance.
Also want to say something: myself needed a lot rehab start-ups but never stayed for long. One morning I woke up, it was the most amazing weather and outside the window were little birds eating... In this perfect god given moment I couldn't enjoy trying so hard and realized NO OTHER CAN FIX IT OR IS TO BLAME !!! That was my start as a Phoenix... There's hope but do it for yourself 🙏
I thought I was pissed off at my dad for walking out the door and just simply not coming back he was also murdered but this girls pain is on another level! I really hope she gets a chance at life and getting her son back.

You are not alone. Best wishes as you rebuild. You’ll get there.
All children deserve to have good parents, but not all parents deserve to have children.
As someone with a 20 year old daughter it breaks my heart to see young women suffering like this. She needs love so badly.
Faith you are such a beautiful person and your heart is huge. It's not easy to find people with such empathy. Please believe in yourself that you can change your life 💗 it is possible xo
I've been hooked on your channel for years Mark. Thank you. Faith, your story, strength and attitude has touched and taught me in ways unimaginable. I am 55 years old. I want to be you when I grow up. Love does conquer all! You got this! You are unforgettable! We believe in YOU! Sending my love to you!
She needs a DHS counselor that can help her get services, but if she can’t follow guidelines like getting kicked out of the hospital. Due to drug use. She doesn’t want to change bad enough yet. I pray for her, and child.
This poor girl, she's been through so much. I pray to God she gets help. What a beautiful soul she is
Thank you for sharing your story with us, Faith... Faith, you're still young, pls don't waste your life like I did. I've wasted 35 years on a life whose sole purpose for living was to stay doped up, it's not worth it... I'm not trying to sell you beachfront property in Alaska, I just hate to see you go through the same & look back with so much regret... Thank you, Mark....💚👣
She is so sweet and tenderhearted. I just wanted to give her a big hug. I will pray for her and her son to have a wonderful future together. I hope somebody will step up and help her.❤
Faith, you’re a strong person with such a beautiful and strong soul.
Can someone in Ca help her get her social security card so she can get her ball rolling? Im gonna be really upset if she ends up on the next in memory of episode.
This person needs Gods Love to heal her. I hope one day she can get off these Drugs!
thank you for sharing this story, this thing often happens with good people, with kind heart...
This darling girl needs your help a thousand times more than crazy Rebecca. She is so wise.
this was a hard one to watch . she is not that far gone. she needs a support system . She is resourceful selling clothes and painting . She can be a productive member of society if she gets the help she needs
I love the comments here. What a caring group of human beings asking Mark straight up to help this girl.
Introducing your kids to hard drugs is equivalent to physically and/or s€xually abusing them. It’s downright sick.
What a heartbreaking story. I hope she makes it out and back to being healthy. She seems to have such a sweet spirit.
I’ve watched so many of these and have never commented, but Faith, I hope life turns around for you and you get the joy you deserve ❤️
Mark, thanks for giving people the chance to be seen and heard. So important! 🙏 I'm sure you've been asked many times already, but are you able to follow up on those you've interviewed, who've managed to make it off the streets and thrive? ✌️🙏✌️🙏
This one hit hard. 😢 She has a beautiful spirit and I can’t tell she is beautiful inside and out. Sending her so much love and light ✨

After everything you've heard that's the take you want to have? "Let's doubt her cuz she's on drugs". Youre a fucking joke.

@@cmiles9142ehh, they have a point. I hate to say it, but they do stretch the truth sometimes. Shoot, we all do from time to time. But yeah, it sucks because you want to help people, but you gotta try and read between the BS, and see if they actually want the help or not.
