Like your reason for getting this Fenix headlamp. I also, have a cheap Black Diamond headlight that takes three AA batteries. I am constantly having to change the batteries out in this headlamp. I am getting the HM65R-T because of the constant inconvenience of having to change out the batteries on the cheap headlight. I use Eneloop rechargeable AA batteries so the cost of a change out is little. But, I don't like the inconvenience of having to do so.

The Nitecore HC68 is much better.

Doubt it, runtime for the Fenix and usable light beats it every day of the week. And battery is heaps bigger.

@@francisjames1377 are you high, it takes 10 seconds to review specs. Max output is only *30 MIN* like everything nitecore makes, max output is pathetic. They snag customers by advertising a bit brighter lumen count for those people that obsess over numbers, but everything they make has terrible mah. It's barely brighter than the Fenix as far as lumen level, but the Fenix (like all of their lights) has an obscene run time at max output of 4 hours with this light. Nitecore in med settings is only 250 lumens, at a 6 hour runtime. Meanwhile the Fenix is 20 hours at 400 lumens. There's not comparison, the Fenix is king, which is why I'm here watching a review. There is a brighter model than the 65 by fenix, it's the 70. If you prefer lumens go with the Fenix 70. Same specs as the nitecore, but with 3x output. But if you're just a lumen monster, go with the Acebeam H30. 4000 lumens, can use to charge devices, 1100 lumens for 2+ hours. Don't debate us dads when it comes to random specs, on useless items. We live for the specs of meaningless products like flashlights. We also have weird hobbies like spoon carving, and knife sharpening. We spend a ridiculous amount of time reviewing products before making a purchase, and can name different species of trees. Once you become a father maximizing spending, and random facts is life. Aussie knew without even having to read the specs that the nitecore was inferior. I knew that he was correct without ever viewing his content, solely because he's about that *Dad Life.*

I see you jumping through the channels and doing an HC68 ad🤣. Unfortunately both are weak. The hm65r Super Raptor version is the best. This limited version doesn't have as big power drops as these headlamps. hm66r-t in half an hour in flood mode drops to approx. 130lm (from 400lm power). I recommend INDEPENDENT online tests.
