    Nice to see a no nonsense torch for a change. Only downside is the USB port with rubber cover, do wish manufacturers would stop using that type of charge port

    Thanks for watching! Yes, the rotating charge covers on some of the newer torches is much better for sealing. Alternatively a 5000U battery with a USB-C port in the battery cuts out that worry, but does mean you need to remove the battery to charge.

    I would have expected more tests in the dark, including comparisons to various other flashlights. All else seems fine - although I would still worry about the time it takes for the hand holding this flashlight to tire and start aching.

    Thanks for your comment - we are only a small team here and this is only a small part of the role so we don't really have time to do these comparisons. Plus it doesn't get dark here until 10pm, well outside work hours. The C7 at 172g really isn't a heavy light especially if you compare it to the LR range.

    @@FenixlightUK, I appreciate your prompt reply! Work can be overwhelming; thank goodness, then, there are so many people out there who like to share. :) Which reasonably-sized flashlight is the thrower you would recommend?

    When we get a bit of time we'll try and get out with a load of lights and do some comparisons 😁 The best reasonably sized with the biggest throw is the TK22 TAC at 540m using 2800 Lumens - but the tac tail switch isn't for everyone and the head is relatively large compared to other models. TK20R v2.0 is probably the more compact option. PD40R v3 which just launched is 500m throw but you'd have the neck twist switch. Essentially with range its a pay off between reflector size and output - 3000 lumens in a small torch is about your limit as it starts to cook after that!

    Depends really what you are using it for. E35R is great for portability due to its size, where the C7 is a great all-rounder and has a good throw beam - just has that bigger head.

    hi, I would like to ask, how long does the flashlight shine at 3000 lumens? how long does it take for the power to drop due to temperature?

  • @FenixlightUK

    @FenixlightUK

    10 ай бұрын

    So for the 3000 lumen setting on the C7, it holds better than most torches but still drops down relatively quickly - it slowly drops down to 2500 lumens over the space of 15 minutes. After this time it drops a faster rate down to 150 lumens over 30-40 mins. The fact it drops so quickly after the 15 minutes is because that long at that high an output is quite a long time and drains a lot of the battery. If you want to see the run time graph, head over to the product page on our website and go to the end of the image carousel.

    Hi there - yes its a thing with the C7 that we've noted, its just the driver type that powers the C7. You get a slight electronic whine on the turbo which not everyone can hear - I am one of the only ones in the office who can! It doesn't present any issues.

    It's a bit of a chunky light for that but makes a great all-rounder! Why not look at some of the tactical lights or the new GL series of pistol lights
