She waited and waited- how was she to know he did send her a message but she never recieved it? she would have kept on waiting for him but she was told he ran off with Ji Heng. She was insecure about Ji Heng, even though she knew he loved her she was still quite insecure and the past had hurt her deeply. She was still waiting for him to come and explain when she found out she was pregnant and decided to go to the mortal world
