Fender Wayne Kramer Signature Strat
Музыка
Andy here with ProGuitarShop.com, jamming on the Fender Artist Series Wayne Kramer Stratocaster, a unique instrument modeled after the same Strat Wayne used in his days with the 60's Detroit punk pioneers, The MC5. The tattered starred and striped finish on the alder body immediately sets this guitar apart from the pack and the commemorative neck plate lets you 'kill hate' whenever you plug it in. The tones from the Fender Wayne Kramer Signature Strat aren't exactly your standard fare either, with a fat Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker in between two vintage styled single coils, and a hardtail bridge for extra sustain. The Fender Wayne Kramer Signature Strat's neck goes the vintage route with a meaty "C" shape, 21 vintage frets and a 7 ¼" rosewood fingerboard. proguitarshop.com/store/guitar...

Really surprising how well that pickup combo works in the guitar. Never was much of a middle-pickup fan, so having somehting completely different there is a super idea.
I always get so excited about these guitars but then remember I'm left handed
The design kicks ass !! RED ,WHITE and BLUE can't ask for much better
absolutely amazing! this is what a guitar should sound & look like! thank you Fen & Kram!
The tone coming out of that thing is amazing.
Nice rendition of Ramblin' Rose, Andy! Long live the MC5!! \m/
Ramblin' rose and Raw Power!!! this guy is awesome.
@tatethompson1234 LOL, MC5 had other songs :)
brother Wayne is an hell of a player!!!
Right on, brother Wayne!
WOW! I really wish i could finger pick like that, it looks pretty cool.
well played andy you really have awesome controll over the gutiar with that finger style
@transtremm - 'Cause Wayne Kramer likes it that way. -PGS Crew
Saw one of these @ GC. One of the best Fender's I've ever played. That's saying alot since I'm really a Gibson guy..
you accepted my request! :D Thank you PGS!
andy is a really good player,very tasteful,,dig the kramer,,nice cleans and it rocks!!!
Super sound ! Good combination of the PUs !
Another great strat from Fender! I personally love the middle humbucker... it's different. And yes, I think the finish is sweet (Can't help loving the stars and stripes).
Im still in awe seeing Andy shredding without a pick :OOO
Hell, I would buy one. It sounds very good, at least with Andy playing it.
Nice playing !!
That is one meaty sounding guitar.
that looks so sick :)
I ordered this the day I saw it at NAMM!
this video has inspired me to put a humbucker in the middle position on mah ibanez
Fender should make a PGS Andy signature strat!
I think im gonna have to throw a humbucker in my middle postion now.
@metalvocalistwanted excellent!!!
@mymusicjeter Long live ProGuitarShop, Topgear and weed!
"Would have" not "would OF." And any real MC5 fan recognizes "Ramblin' Rose" from the album titled, ahem, "Kick Out the Jams." Great job as always, Andy!
@mymusicjeter yeah, this is the only thing that was missing from that episode!
ofcourse Raw Power had to be played aswell.. Beautiful
Sounds and looks pretty good. Nice play of "Raw Power" on 3:09
amazing!! humbucker in middle sounded really good. I was told having three humbuckers would make the plektrum hit the pickups, maybe that isnt the case? Though i guess it's up to playingstyle and adapting. Great playing!
DAMN THAT THING CAN COOK
Now I got another one. The frets are in good shape and the action is low and comfortable. I think the first Wayne Kramer Strat that I got was the bad apple in the bunch. But I wonder that there is no quality control by Fender. Nevertheless the new one looks as good as expected and sounds also good. Finally the order Wayne Kramer Strat came to a good end. I want to add that I had ordered both Strats (the one that I sent back and the one that stayed by me) by two different German online shops.
its nice to see the Mc5 get a little more recgonition
nice voice
i finally found an SHS!
andy you are to fucking good
He opened with Ramblin' Rose, which, by the way, opens the Kick Out the Jams record. ...and a damn fine rendition of it. Though, I don't get how you get those tones w/o a pick :)
Now all they need is a Wayne Campbell signature strat.
@mymusicjeter haha! I remember that too! The vietnamese people stared at them:D
BORN IN THE USA ! When I saw that guitar I think of Top Gear Vietnam Spacial lol.
Raw power! Kudos for playing some Iggy and the Stooges.
this guitar makes the best sound i've ever heard. and deffenitelly, it sounds 100 times way better than it outlooks :) Thanks Andy! Make more good reviews.
now thats a fat soundin strat!
@BATHUMAN Maybe he's not trying to exploit to the public, maybe he just loves his country and sees it fit to play a guitar with those colors...I mean Noel Gallagher has his ES335 with the union jack on it, and Ive seen USA strats before...its HIS GUITAR, so he can do whatever he wants with it
KICK OUT THE JAMS!
That's crazy looking to me lol the thing that drew me in about this guitar is I've never seen a guitar with single coils AND a humbucker. Looks cool as hell.
This guitar sounds great Andy, what amp and or pedal combo is it going through?
He Started with rambling rose, a MC5 song.
Very good video, I love that guitar, but would like to know where do I can buy that guitar in Mexico?
You should of played Kick out The Jams, if your gonna demo his guitar should atleast play The MC5's anthem. Other than that, good review dude,looks like a nice strat. I still think his Epiphone was better suited for him
pra mim só faltou a floyde nela pra ela ser Perfeita *-*
-How well does the color hold?? Does it get easy scratched away??
the Strat pick-ups are actually Texas Specials, but anyways, cool video!
Wonder why Fender put the vintage radius on this guitar?
It makes sense to me; Fender's are American guitars right? Looks good!
this
Haha there's the star spangled banner on the guitar, but is it made in USA ? :o
in strats, the 2nd positions is a double coil (aka humbucker) in this guitar, it's a triple coil!?
@daviddowns81 thanks....i had a guy from Detroit try and slap me for asking...hahaha
But he plays Ramblin' Rose and that works for me.
I wonder where Wayne Kramer's from?
@mymusicjeter OMFG SAME.
are you using a thumb pick?
He stole my idea!
mexico
The best part about earth, is being Canadian.
@superbeavo DIfferent guy.
interesting flame war below ;)
Nice huge drop in volume when you hit the bridge by itself....that fat 59 needs to be on this guitar! Otherwise pretty respectable finish...Who the hell is Wayne Kramer???
i will own this guitar. oh yes. she will be mine.
i can't believe this dude isn't using a pick
you should have played Star Spangled Banner the Hendrix way just because of the finish :D
Made in Meixco?? :P
@BATHUMAN Last time I checked music and pretty much ANYTHING went together. That's what's so great about music. It's an expression of whatever you want it to be. Pro-government anti-government, about psychopaths and satanists, or about puppy dogs and butterflies, deep heartfelt song about the state of the world, song about eating a peanut butter and banana sandwich and taking a shit. It's pretty much whatever you want it to be.
I like how you threw "Raw Power" in there.
this guitar along with with a american made peavey amp, and the planet waves stars n stripes and a dimarzio handmade cable, then it doesnt get anymore americanized, play star spangled banner and you see what this guitar is really made of
@ProGuitarShopDemos Yeah I know, im a MC5 freak. First thing you think of when you hear Wayne Kramer or MC5 is Kick Out The Jams. It was a good demo, but like I said thought he would of played it.
Neat !! Do I have to sell my car to pay for one of these ???
KICK IT OUT, ANDY!
@BATHUMAN I guess Francis Scott Key must of wasted his time then.
@cbappa2 It looks like "puke"? No...no my friend. It looks like GODDAMN AMERICA. (Cue Night Ranger)
Nice looking guitar but the single coils sounded poor. The frets are horrible drilled (I didn't ever own a Fender guitar with worse frets, I feared to injure my hand!). At all the neck does not feal very comfortable in my hand (I think the bow of the neck is too strong, but you can only work on the truss rod at the end of the neck!). At least I sent the guitar back to the shop. Very disappointing. What do you think?
love the in between sounds with the humbucker in the middle:) but sadly, here in Europe I think people will laugh at you with such a paint job:D
i think that guitar is Made in USA or Mexico something
i think i'd like to see a non-stars and stripes version of this. for anybody outside of the states (like myself), this just looks tacky and lame. love the look of it other than that, and it sounds killer! :)
@BATHUMAN -_-'
get some more metal guitar reviews!
@BATHUMAN I've never seen a more blatant example of someone completely talking out of their ass. "patriotism and music don't go together" ??? Music is one of the best ways to express patriotism and has been for ages. Star Spangled Banner, American The Beautiful, military marching bands, etc. And that goes for just about anywhere, not just the USA. Sometimes, when I read online comments here it really scares me about the thought processes (or lack thereof) going on out there.
@ProGuitarShopDemos i'm sure transtremm is a little slow...dont mind him/ her
Oddly enough he played an Iggy & The Stooges song.
this is Detroit music, back of eminem
Nice guitar but disign an colour is not so good....
kick out the jams "original comment"
Is this an american Made guitar??? Mexican??
@redsfan293 In America it means Xenophobic...
lol this was made in Mexico
