Fender Stratocaster Install Curtis Novak P.U

I installed a Curtis Novak pickup on a friend's Stratocaster that I had previously refinished.
• Fender Mexico Stratoca...
The front and center pickups were installed with lace sensor pickups.
Then I replaced the pegs, filled the peg holes for replacement, made the back panel, replaced the frets, modified the fretboard, changed the fretboard R, made the nut, bent and rewired the calm, etc.
The Curtis Novak pickup looks like a humbucker, but it is a single coil pickup. The model is a Gold Foil: GT-V Vintage correct classic Tokyo Style Gold Foil.
www.curtisnovak.com/shop/gold...
At first I didn't want to ask if I could put this pickup on... but I bought it. I bought this pickup.
Furthermore, the race sensor is combined with a race sensor...what will happen?
To be honest, I was worried about it, but I didn't feel comfortable with it. Is it blended? I think.
There's definitely a lo-fi feel to it, but it's there. I think it's possible.
But I wanted to use the round head screw because the mounting holes of the TOKYO pickup have a good hole for M3 screws.
But I couldn't find a good round head M3 screw, and the wood used to hold the Strat's screw is very thin.
So I made this part out of brass. I thought it would be a good idea because it would fit in nicely and I could make use of the lathe, lol.
Replacing the rotomatic type pegs with Crewson type pegs is a bit of a pain.
The conversion bushings make it a little easier, but I didn't want to do it this time, because I didn't want to. It's going to look a little different.
I took a method of filling the peg holes with maple.
Normally, I would have filled the holes with a round bar and re-drilled them later, but I took the method of drilling the holes in the round bar from the beginning. (I have a lathe, so I felt I could get better accuracy that way.)
Maple for easy round bars? I'm glad I bought a lathe so I could make it! I think.
The frets are Freedom's 07 Speedy.
The sound that the owner is looking for is the sound that looks good on the rhythm guitar or cutting, so I chose it.
The guitar that the owner can play is an SG, and when he played the SG after playing a Strat, he felt it was easier to play.
He felt it was easier to play when he played the Strat and the SG. So I changed the R on the fingerboard to 12R.
I was quite satisfied with the fretwork. Maybe it's my first time to do so.
I was able to reconfirm the accuracy of the fretboard correction and the accuracy of the fretboard R.
He also sent me a video of him playing the fretboard.
It's still difficult to confirm whether the lefty is completely playable or not.
The string height is set high, so we set it to a setting that we think is easy to play, and then the owner will have to check it for himself.
I wonder if this is what airplane instrumentation flight is like.
And the last song. It's an original composition by the owner of this guitar. I had it made!
I hope you enjoy it all the way through.
Thank you for your request.

Did you test the switching at the output jack with an ohm meter before you finished assembling?

Before installing the pickup, I checked the output and looked at the phase. I did not try to measure the overall output. It's good to check. I will do so in the future.

I saw this in the refinishing video too, why do you countersink the holes on the body/neck when the screw heads that require the countersinking dont make contact with the body or neck?

Huh. Not sure I understand why you went to the trouble of hollowing out dowels on lathe to press in to tuner holes. It's way easier to glue in solid dowel then re-drill appropriate size hole. Anyway. Nice editing on these videos. The lighting is great.

Thank you for your comment. I probably understand what you are trying to say. From the point of view of ease of playing, it is also important that the knobs are easy to turn, and that they don't hit your hands when you play. The knobs in the video were added after discussing with the owner about the importance of appearance. The fact that the knob was changed soon after the owner played the guitar suggests that there must have been a problem. Or his taste has changed. As far as playability is concerned, I think there are a lot of problems even with traditional guitars. But it has become a tradition, and many users prefer it that way. It's really up to each individual to decide what's better.
