    drsquirrel123 and all hot rails are coil splittable, with a floyd rose with a locking nut and locking tuners. And tele knobs! And isteand of a pick up selector, you use switching for which pickups you want on.

    Greg reminded me of the workers at my local guitar shop. They are so nice and chill! I've lost count of the amount of times they've fixed my guitar for free! And very light hearted. Lovely people. Well, guess I'll give them a good ol' visit tomorrow.

    I met Greg way back in the '90s at Guitar Center in San Jose for a Fender Demo thing, and I can attest, he is a hella cool and chill guy :)

    I ran into Greg at Cream City Music In Milwaukee about a month ago. I introduced myself and we chatted for about 5-10 minutes. Talking guitars of course. He was looking for a Martin. He was very very nice.

    I don't know what it is, but Fender relics seem more fitting than most other guitar brands. I don't know if it's because fenders are generally more rough and ready slabs of wood with bolt on necks but they work when relic'd - I can't say I find the same with LP style guitars. When they're beaten up I just feel sad.

    Right at the end, that's my dream guitar. Sherwood green with a red tortoiseshell scratch plate but in a P Bass. Absolutely LOVE it!

    So fun browsing NAMM with these guys looking for cool guitars. No one who has a better appreciation for the instrument than The Captain along with his trusty sidekick Danish Pete to give us a reality check. Where was Chappers? He must be manning his own booth at NAMM.

    That 9 neck guitar is a thing of beauty, everyone is hating on for some reason, saying 'but you can't play it' - but they're missing the point, it's showcase of guitar design and engineering that shows off all of fenders iconic designs, it's awesome

    The entire Parallel Universe line seems so cool. I might just have to pick up the Jazz Tele. It's so far from what I'm used to (ERGs, humbuckers, extended scales) but something like that seems like it would be the perfect "different" guitar to have in my arsenal.

    I don't know why but that blue troublemaker is one of my favorite looking guitars ever. I can't tell why. Honestly I loved the entire limited line, especially the ones with stratocaster shaped bodies. Sucks to live where I live that makes it ridiculously difficult to buy guitar from overseas except for cheaper lines, let alone limited ones. Oh well. One day...

    I know how you feel….I have an El Degas Les Paul …. same idea, cheap guitar that sounds great, used to be my "punk band" guitar because i didn't care if it got beat up playing a gig….worry free playing !!!

    docsiltanen - if you mean Custom Shop relic Strats, it's an expensive way to have a guitar you don't worry about scratching :-)

    Partscasters my friend…. easy to build, components and pieces fit whatever budget you want, custom result without the custom shop price… someone will no doubt comment about the difference in quality compared to a custom shop build, but i'm not an accomplished enough player to justify the difference in cost….

    At 19.09 great looking guitar I would buy as for smashed up guitars, they will stay on the racks in your shop and at the end of the year you will have to put them all in the sale "DOH" I will also go along mostly with Lee on his choices

    I think the funniest part about that 9 neck guitar is the strap button lol. Like how in the hell is a strap gonna be used on it? It needs its own wheel system or something
