I love this amp! The design is based around a three position Gain switch that allows you to fine tune your ultimate tone at any gain setting.
The Strat is a Fender American Deluxe with Duncan Parallel Axis Blues Saraceno in the bridge and stacked Axis in the neck

Killer demo!! Killer sounding little combo
best demo from the bassbreaker 15...good playing ...good sound
Good range of nice tones. Really helpful demo, thanks!
Good tone from this guy
beautiful clean tones!
Thanks for really showing the low gain channel.👍
Good....grief... what great tones!
Good demo. I like your style of playing. The amp sounds very good and it seems very versatile. I wish it could be different in appearance though.
I love that it has an effects Loop!!!! I had my Blues jr. for years but wished it had an effects loop on it. I want to get one of these in the head version
Sweet sounds!
Perfect demo! I have the Bassbreaker 007, it sounds great too.

Fuzz Head i guess you could say it caught your golden eye
Real nice sounding Strat and playing. The amp is sweet also. Im trying to decide between it and the 45, with in the head version.
So good.
So now that you're also showing the real virtues of the Katana, would you still say that this amp is a better bet for pure tone, without all the modelling and effects of course? Great video and fabulous noise you're making -- it's so nice to see someone not just start in the high gain as though that's the only thing that counts!
Amazing amp that Fender missed it on one aspect. They should have the gain switch footswitchable. It would be perfect for me if that was available.

Use volume knob on guitar and set amp to high gain - problem solved

It's not really the same... vol know set low at high gain doesn't give the same clean sound as vol know set high at low gain... the latter is better, in my opinion, to get that cutting clean sound... besides, sometimes you just need to have control with a footwitch... if they came with that footwitch i'd go by 2 of these amps right now!

Welp you're in luck with the new Bassbreaker 30!
Love it!!!! This might be coming home with me. LOL
Had trouble deciding between this & a marshall dsl 40, think i made my choice!
I really enjoy the tone of the bridge pup. I wonder if they are offered in a regular hum bucker spacing. The neck is clear as a bell!
At least it can't clean up as per FENDER Blues Junior , actually that shimmery country cleans...but your cleans are fantastic....
Just the demo i needed to see, well done James. Wondering if you had any issues with hum in the effects loop, as being reported by owners in the States? Would love to buy in Australia without having to sort this issue out, if it exists.
Great demo and playing!Would sure love to here how it sounds with a Tele!

Tell ya right now it sounds amazing
I had a eargasm!! Uff is the amp mic'ed or is it xlr out?
Great playing and demo! Can the gain switch be controlled with an optional footswitch/pedal? Cheers!
can this crank up for big stage gigs and be heard and stay clean. pedals in front only?? thanks. nice demo
Is that the Blues Saraceno pickups? Do you have some advice on how to improvising rhythm playing? Awesome tone aswell!
recording out or miked? either way, it sounds great!
If you run it in medium gain mode but turn the gain down and master up can you get a Marshally clean sound out of it. Kind of like a jtm 45 just before breakup?

That's how I run mine. JTM-meets-HiWatt kinda tone. With the bright switch and EQ controls it can also do a VOX-ish tone in that mid gain position.
this will work well with a superstrat type guitar?
What pickups? Amazing....
James Ryan I want your guitar, can you tell me the specs, what model, pickups etc... I appreciate your help. Thanks.

What's the cheapest you think you could get a decent used bass breaker 15w? I'm an intermediate guitarist who likes more bass, darker, blues sound. I'm either thinking the bass breaker or blues junior iii. Thoughts?

The Random Rocker bass breaker if you wanna go for that creamy Clapton tone.

Does it use clipping diodes?

what about the noise when you are on the high gain setting ?
@raytorvalds3699
8 жыл бұрын
Just keep playing and you won't hear the noise :P Seriously though. It's not very noisy at all. The only times it makes a little noise is when I'm heating it up (on standby). Not sure what to think of that. It kind of sounds like the sea for about 5 secs and then goes away.

i tried it in a shop, it sounded boxy, with no trebles and compressed... but in this video it sounds nice. what can that be?
@TomAndreen
7 жыл бұрын
I work in a music shop and we have the whole range. It sometimes does sound boxy, but that's completely dependent on the guitar you use and the settings to go with it. This amp has a lot of variety in its tone, so some adjustment and tuning is required to make it sound the way you want (and to fit the guitar you're using). Because people try them all the time with different guitars, the settings change a lot in the shop. I'm personally thinking of getting this one myself. It suits my needs perfectly.

I experienced the same thing. Confused. I ended up going with a Bugera V22 instead, but now am regretting the decision. The V22 was much less pricey, has a foot switch and fx loop, sounds good at low volume; but is very trebly and lacking that thick tone. I can't seem to find the perfect low volume practice amp that's not going to make my ears bleed.
@FabrizioPeretti

Well bugera aren't good amp at all man... i would suggest and epiphone valve junior instead :)
@graphicartdude
7 жыл бұрын
No way... the Bugera sounds much better than my Valve Jr. The Bugera V22 is great and low cost. Sure it's made it China, but it saved me $300 too. The Bugera is just too tweedy / bright sounding, but still not the worse. I plan on changing out the speaker and tubes to improve it some. I find the Valve Jr very boxy and lacking in any character in it's tone.

Judson Ruddick cheaper, sounds as good in more situations, no maintenance of tubes. Breaker does sound great as I am writing this though!

Mrs Peel l have the Katana 100 and bought it outright because of the great reviews but I find it very spitty sounding in reality... it's going back to the store unfortunately.
Sell my Blues Jr. for this? Hmmm.
@Krone975

blues jr kind of wins it from the bassbreaker on the low gain settings (for that real vintage sound imo). However, the BB gives more versatility with its higher gain settings. both are amazing amps
