Can the handle be moved to the opposite side for a left-handed person?

The reel can't be switched without a complete disassemble, and even then I'm not sure that the pawl catch would work properly for you. Some people do flip the reel upside down in order to crank the handle left handed. You could also look into the Kiwitech orbital reel which allows you to use either hand.
