Beautiful
Oh yeah, these good old melodies you never get out of your head
This song was running through my head a few months ago but neither my wife nor I could remember what it was. Glad I ran across this.

It is a very catchy tune, and I couldn't think of the title either until I was listening to a classic Top 20 countdown from August 1962 on the local oldies station. The Billy Vaughn version (which was the biggest hit version here in America) was the # 19 song. I love to go to outdoor municipal band concerts in the summertime. We have 2 such bands in my area, and I would love it if one of them could get a hold of this arrangement and play it in a concert.
Wonderful! I was a DJ back when Hot Hits had a few instrumentals! Thank you!
Love it Burt K had the record when I was a kid in the 70s
What a beautiful sound and performance. BRAVO!!!
top !! 👍👍
A superb performance by all players !
First time I heard this version. it's great. I'm used to the Bert Kamphert version
How anyone could hate this song is beyond me.
Infinitas gracias. BAM😂❤❤❤❤❤
I remember this was the theme song for the Match Game back in the late 69*s early 70*s staring Gene Rayburn good show and panelists funny and clean for the most part; a little risgaie at times!
Bert Kaempfert's Swingin' Safari was used as the theme music for the Match Game with Gene Rayburn on NBC from 1962-1967

That’s how I recently rediscovered the song. I saw a couple of the old episodes here on KZread, and it was the intro music.

I remember it as the theme tune before the start of the Spedeworth Stockcar racing at Ipswich & Great Yarmouth in the 70’s.
She is a terrific sax payer--a bit of the improvisation of Coltrane with the smooth Paul Desmond tone
Absolutely love this ! Kudos to all these wonderfully talented folk, especially the Fabulous Femke !! That lovely lady plays a mean sax ! THANK You so much for sharing this marvelous video with us !! :-)
Outstanding!
Very talented musician. She has a style to blow the notes to a good and pleasing sound.
Leave it up to the Friesians to spice it up. Touche! Well done.
Te gek Femke! Mooi gespeeld (!).

Hoi Thijs! Dankjewel en groet!
Tatsächlich eine tolle Version!!
Prachtig ! Love it
Very good sax player. Notes are very clear as the soloist goes on.
Van deze muziek word je gewoon blij. Geweldige improvisatie!!
Perfect ❤💛💜
Thumbs up.
Dad loved both Bert and Kurt Eigelhagen. Some fine musicians. Think they led the way for James Last.

Wow good music
Very good sax solo on this simple theme. I was long looking for it. Like the versions of manfred moch and especially of ack van rooyen (never understood how he did it). I think, it is more difficult to improvise on simple 2-5-1 chords.
Still sound great very big hit in 1962 sounds good cover
música que vale la pena
Ear Candy
Joya
Femke, I like your fresh, expressive take on this. Beautiful vibrato & diaphragm support. I do miss the piccolos a bit. 😉 ⋅
Belo clássico como Áfrikkan Beat
Bert zou hier trots op zijn! (Manfred Moch ook :))

LUV this piece -- but it's still better in the original key
Muito bem, gostei, parabéns!!!!
The version of this song was done by Billy Vaughn

Originally by Bert Kaempfert, although Vaughn's version was a bigger hit here in America.
If only we could have heard such entertaining music on BBC Radio when live studio music was the game in town. Alas, it was not to be, just too much tedious, tuneless dross. But no matter; this was all a long time ago.
Femke is excellent as usual. I think the slng was played a bit too fast. That or the recording is too fast.
Versión requebuena...
If people would pour themselves a snifter of brandy;fire up a good cigar;listen to some cool music like SwingingbSafari and chill axed they'd have a lot more fun.
Beer drinking music.
Transposed down to Bb Major.
What a brilliant version, Such a smooth sax player, Is that Lisa Simpson?

Lisa Simpson all grown up.
Solo sax is great. The rest of them are completely out of time until the first saxophone solo.....
Nicely done, but too polite and a tad unswinging.
HORRIBLE
bellisimo! me acuerdo de mi niñez. Grande Bert
