Female Genital Mutilation. Student Connect Webinar 95

This week’s webinar is on the important topic of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in social work. The webinar is led by the brilliant Maureen Mguni, who is a lecturer, doctoral researcher and practicing social worker. For most of her career Maureen has worked with women and girls affected by genderbased violence, including forced marriage, honour-based violence and female genital mutilation.
As well as an overview of FGM, this webinar looks at the legislation that surrounds it, as well as some strategies that can be used in the context of FGM as social workers.
