Gandalf carries hard and that’s fax if its Third Age However if its the Second Age Ringwraiths story is completely different. Gandalf says that Ringwraiths are but a shadow of their might they would possess if One Ring was in its masters hand. Not only this but Ringwraiths didn’t wear their rings in the Third Age because Sauron kept them. In Second Age they would have no such weakness. So in the Second Age Ringwraiths would not only be stronger because Sauron is both innately more powerfull and having been killed less bodily ( which made his diminished power even more diminished ) but they would also be more powerfull because they kept their rings with them. They would kill Gandalf and others would make little difference

Well yeah, during the Third Age/War of the Ring, Fellowship wins against The Nine without doubt, if we would compare Fellowship to Prime/Second Age The Nine then it would be extremely close imo, I think Fellowship => (TA) The Nine mid-high diff, Fellowship >= (SA) The Nine high-extreme diff, Gandalf the Grey was around as powerful as entire The Nine combined during War of the Ring, we can assume that Prime The Nine would be around as powerful as Gandalf the White, so Gandalf alone can stalemate The Nine, so with help of the others Fellowship's members he can totally beat and defeat The Nine Nazgûl forcing them to repel, Gandalf, Aragorn and Boromir are nearly definitely the better warriors and combatants than any Nazgûl, and the Fellowship has mighty weapons quality advantage over The Nine

@@Sylemis During the Second Age Ringwraiths were mighty enough that they could turn the fight in Sauron’s favor despite the fact that Numenoreans were far more powerfull and greater in stature to the Men in the Third Age “And when the Úlairi arose that were the Ring-wraiths, his servants, and the strength of his terror and mastery over Men had grown exceedingly great, he began to assail the strong places of the Númenóreans upon the shores of the sea.” And Boromir and Aragorn might be comparable to a standart Numenorean soldier and superior but not by a great amount. This leads me to believe that Aragorn and Boromir wouldn’t have the power to help much As for Gandalf the difference between Gandalf the White and the Grey is just way too much. Think it like this, Gandalf fought either 6 or 9 Ringwraiths in Weathertop and barely kept up even before Sauron empowered them and after his transformation to White his mere light beam was able to send 5 Ringwraiths quacking back to skies. Even after fighting and using powers against them for 12 hours Gandalf never achieved such level of domination over them while he was facing weaker wraiths as the Grey. And Second Age Ringwraiths would be greater by a large margin ( due to the reasons I quoted in my first answer ) even compared to their version in Pelennor Fields Although Fellowship wouldn’t go down without a fight I don’t see much hope for them. But weapon superiority is a good point
