I was 15years old when I wash Fela midsummer now am 40years in the year 2020 still banging on my head like yesterday, Fela kuti you are number in African, confusion all over the world, hit me guys
I guess you have to be passionate about what you do; Fela was so passionate his music, wow!
A great intructmentalist ever in history of music in Africa. RIP
Fela is very unique in everything,i could say He was specially made by Almighty God. lIVE ON FELA.
There's nothing as interesting as doing what you are passionate about. You just flow in your domain of confidence almost effortlessly.
This in my opinion is Fela’s greatest composition. If there was anything like African classical music, this would be it! I don’t think he did any music with this time signature also.

indeed. I love how he stops the band at the end and reintroduces them after he finished with the drums. What is even more remarkable is that the band complained about the monitor speakers during this performance, which is why his ques were so important

In terms of the musical dexterity that is deployed in the performance, I share the opinion that this is Fela' s greatest composition and possibly ,stage performance. But in terms of the poignancy of the message, I would rate 'Beast of No Nation' as the greatest.
Fela Kuti ... the "MUSIC LEGEND", was literally a "GENUINE", in his CRAFT. There was NONE LIKE HIM, and there would be NONE LIKE HIM.
thank you for uploading this.
thank you soo much for this
Everybody say more, more.... Please upload more live performances🙏🏿
Love you forever baba ❤❤❤❤. This is one of my best song by Fela
CBB - Confusion Break Bone. This song is highly relevant today after the Endsars killings.

That's quite a statement. He used to beat his wives. Still, I loved his music. But not for me the greatest Black Man.

Yeah homes.....greatest black man ever is pushing.......a phenom of a musician but Fela had some major, major faults too.
As much as I love Fela, this was a rough gig for Egypt 80.

I think the bassist went off note for a sec or two but other than that seems okay. The song in itself is extremely complex in composition. He makes it such that it can almost be perfectly interpreted in two different keys at the same time.

Yeah....he and fela's fall out was spectacular. I think fela used two drummers during this performance too to compensate

Best
Omo Iya Aje remembered.
No musician like Delay he's so special and extraordinary. Delay na master. Nowadays most musicians who claim they're afrobeat artistes know nothing about afrobeat I even wonder if they had taken time to listen and watch Fela and the Egypt 80 Band. They're insult to Fela the creator and afrobeat. Imagine how can a miming artiste claim afrobeat? Too much mediocrity and laziness among most of the so called artistes today. The industry gatekeepers don't help matters they keep signing up hyping promoting and supporting fake musicians joker mimers instead of real musicians

is it only me that is laughing to all those white folks dancing out of the beat?
