Thank you. That was an excellent review. I usually skip youtube reviews since they are mostly talking heads mumbling self-absorbed/self-selling nonsense that has nothing to do with the product. This one, I watched till the end. The coverage of the actual product was excellent and you demonstrated the functionality in a very professional and engaging manner. I see that you are a photographer, but you would certainly have a very successful career in long form TV advertising or B2B advertising.

The shots were absolutely stunning! What a work of art!

Not only are these shots amazingly great examples of the fluidity of the gimbal, but the wipe transitions are a beautiful piece of editing! I’m waiting on mine being delivered so had already been convinced before I even saw your video, but this just gets me more excited to start working with it!

AK2000S looks so difference,the touch screen makes the gimbal as the smartphone ,it's the new operation solution on the gimbal,but seems only Feiyu did it on the gimbal,good job!

Very nice test, I own it since 3 months and going to Disneyland paris. I like this gimbal very much, looking so professional . I use it with a sony alpha 68 and a SAL1650 f2.8. I'm not an expert, I'm learnig how to film and I can say this set up is good for starting.

FRICKIN SOLD! I've been using a glidecam HD 4000 for some of my shots but I just think a gimble as a slight edge in that smooth look. Both have their place but this footage just looks so nice!

Hi Thomas, I own a AK2000 as well and use it with my X-H1. Start and stop recording is supported via the 2,5 mm jack, but you have to solder a cable yourself. Guido

I rarely comment in general, but god this time I have to say that I've never seen b-roll of this caliber. Amazing stuff, congratulations.

Tremendous review full of nuanced detail. Your voice is very pleasant to listen to, your footage is gorgeous and makes me wonder if my Panasonic GH5 and the Olympus 7-14 Proro lens would work well with this camera gimbal? Combined weight is 2 lb 10 oz. Not all reviewers make it clear that the smaller gimbals might produce less smooth footage. You made that point Crystal clear. I've been really thinking the Weebil S is the way to go for me, but the comment you made toward the end of the video is making me wonder if that is the right decision. I certainly know the build quality of the Weebil S falls far short of just about any gimbal out there. Tremendous review. I'm glad I stumbled upon you and I am a subscriber?

Thank you for your kind words Larry🙏🏻 Your GH5 has excellent image stabilising, that can be used with the AK2000s or Weebill. Not optimal, but it will help. If you need super steady gimbal, look at the bigger gimbals, like Ronin RS2 etc. Cheers from Norway👍🏻

Alden Barrios gimbal+slow motion gives stable results. Some clips in the sample video has stabilizing with FCPX

Hello, great review! I just bought it for my X-T20 but after connected camera and gimbal using 2,5mm-USBtypeC cable the camera icon on gimbal display doesn't start. Is there something else to do? The 2,5mm connector is on Remote control.

Thank you! Haven’t tried this with heavy lenses. If this is your preferred method when shooting, I would suggest a gimbal with stronger motors, like the Feiyutech AK4500 or Ronin S etc.

Nice review. So I'm thinking to buy a gimbal for my X-T3. I use it mostly for pre-wedding photography and traveling. What do you recommend? At first I'm thinking about DJI Ronin SC, but after watching this video, this gimbal looks good also.

could you compare this gimbal with the Zhiyun Weebill Lab? since it also seems to be a popular gimbal people like to use on a budget? im not sure but im predicting that the Feiyutech has more comparability with fuji cameras and that would be the main reason to choose Feiyutech over the Weebill lab (and hopefully cost)

Thank you Nazim🙏🏻 I do not think there is any update to the X-T2 to make it compatible to start/stop recording from gimbal. But I don’t have the X-T2 any more to test. But the X-T2 balances fine on the gimbal, and is compatible in that way👍🏻

Kjetil. I use the sony a6600 because of its small size when I travel and because of the lenses I already have. I want to start making videos and documentaries when I travel. Suggestions for how to improve and build my skills? Software to use for editing? What log to shoot in to get good color grading, best lens to use in terms of focal length when using a gimbal? Thanks for your time. Again companies should be paying you to make their product ads!

Thanks :) Just go out and shoot, that's the best learning you can do. Then search youtube for solutions to problems you might encounter. Dont know the Sony LOG, so can help you unfortunately. But if you're not comfortable with video editing, select a low contrast "normal" color profile. For lenses, I like wide who on a gimbal (24mm iso +/-). Something longer than 50mm on a gimbal is going to be tricky. I use FCPX, but I'm a Mac user, so if you are on a PC, maybe look as davinci resolve (free). iMovie is free if you use mac. It's an ok starting point.

Excellent review! Have you tried to mount Fujifilm x-t3 + heavy 16-55 2,8? I really like this gimbal and I'm to ready to order it, but I'm afraid it doesn't have plenty of room for bulky setups.

Hi Kjetil, thanks for this impressive video. How are your experiences regarding the lock mode? I have a AK2000 which I use with my X-H1 and it tends to drift away to the left, sometimes it even does this stepwise. Weight and load calibration does not have any effect to improve this error, the latest firmware did not help either. Guido

Hi, would this gimbal be perfect for an X-T30 as this house is lighter and could the potentially the lighter housing also solve some of the stability - pan movements cons that you mentioned ? What would be a better light weight Fuji compatible gimbal ? Moved from Canon 5D to Fujifilm X-T30 and love the camera. Thinking about doing more video and badly wanted the X-T4 but the size/weight was moving me in my old Cannon 5d directions so i didnt wanted to go there. I also considered to go video with a Iphone 11 Pro Max and a rig/gimbal (seize, portabillity, weight and price makes this the most obvious solution) and the last option is to go with an gimbal on my X-T30 Leif gunnar, Oslo

This channel is excellent. I see you have an older macbook pro model in your cover photo. Is that what you use to edit H265 10-bit 4K? I have a 2015 MBP with these specs: 2.5 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 16 GB RAM 1600 MHz AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2 GB Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB 512 GB SSD I'm worried some of the higher-end specs of my upcoming XT4 will be overkill for my mac to even process on Final Cut. If a computer upgrade becomes necessary, I'd rather cancel my order and get a cheaper camera that handles H264 and 1080p smoothly. However I crave that buttery smooth 4k60! Any advice is appreciated!

instagraham Check my X-T3 review. I show my mac spec, and what to expect. 8-bit is still great at 4K 60p, if you need 10 bit use proxies in FCPX or use a ninja V to get prores👍🏻

Thanks so much for the brilliant review. I'm comfortable with still photography but I'm only just starting out with video (inspired by an upcoming European trip) and recently upgraded from relatively old Canon kit to the Fujifilm X-T3. Would you recommend the AK2000S over the Ronin SC (or something else entirely) for a complete beginner? Both seem to be receiving relatively good reviews, but the reviews are written by relative experts. Also worth mentioning that the AK200S is significantly cheaper than the Ronin SC in Australia right now. Really appreciate your thoughts!

Thank you Chris. I haven't used the Ronin SC, only the Ronin S. I don't know how the SC performed stability wise, but expect it to be similar. I would take the rear handle, and menu system on the AK2000S over the SC any day. So, from my standpoint, I would chose the 2000S.

AK2000S a lighter gimbal that's great for travelling and paid shoots, and it's so much easier to handle than something like my Zhiyun Crane 3 which is bulky and heavy, especially once you mount on bigger lens and rig it out with a monitor.

Kietil great review! Could you write what program you use to process your video? And more complicated- would be possible compare Feiyu to DJI Ronin s?

Thank you, I use FCPX to edit (but a lot of plug-ins in this Edit 🤗 ) The AK4500 is comparable to the Ronin S, the AK2000S is a smaller gimbal.

Hi Kjetil! This shots are really impressive! Awesome! I have a question for you. How did yo connect your xt-3 with the gimbal? I have the g6max, Im going crazy trying to interpreted. In the app theres no Fujifilm and when I connect the USB C, the buttons don´t work :( I already have the new update of the firmware of the Xt30 that which is meant for that... To make the camera work by usb with gimbals but its not working. Regards!

Thank you Claudio :) There is no USB control of the camera, only start and stop recording. With the X-T30, of works with the DC2.5 cable with the AK2000S. I don’t know if the G6Max is compatible with start/stop recording. Cheers!

The XT3 needs the type-C to TRS2.5 (T02) cable to work as shown in the video. This might well not be included with the gimbal (it wasn't with mine and I had to ask the company I purchased this from to chase the supplier and send me that cable). Although the type C to DC2.5 cable looks identical with same connections this WILL NOT work with the XT3 so you have to make sure you get that specific cable. Mine came last week and I was able to control the XT3 fine now connecting it to the remote socket on the camera and 'camera 1' socket on the gimbal

Did you get shutter cable with gimbal, or bought it separately? I ordered gimbal but there is no cable for Fujifilm.

Do not buy the AK2000s gimbal, I bought one and in two months the power button was damaged and then it does not work anymore, there have been countless cases with the same problem and Feiyu company does not respond .I do not recommend it.
