how much area is sst in? Macro and micro

if we get rejected in an interview round, can't we give another round/attempt after clearing next month nset exam, because it is written in website that "You can retake the NSET up to 3 times and can attempt the interview round 2 times in an academic year" but sir says we can not apply if we rejected in interview, kindly please clear this doubt. Thank You.

The thing is I can pay the scaler fees and that’s all , after that living 4years in Bangalore is gonna be really terrible, and there is gonna be a constant pressure to earn money and also get great scores every semester. So will it be worth it ?

Hi Mahavir, the BSc Computer Science degree that we provide from BITS Pilani is recognized and approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), making it a UGC-approved degree. The MSc Computer Science by Woolf University, being a European university, is not required to have UGC or AICTE approvals as mandated in India. However, Woolf is accredited by educational credential assessment (ECA) organizations in Europe, USA, and Canada, which serve similar functions to UGC in India.

Sir I have submitted the application fee of the NSET 2024, but still I am unable to continue my application. I tried to contact scalar support through mail and instagram but there has been no response. The fee has been deducted from my end and I have also received the receipt but still my application is not moving forward from the fee section. Sir please help.

Hi Utkarsh, you can apply for SST only after your improvement results are announced and if you meet the eligibility criteria at the time of application.

Hi, glad to see you interested! To be eligible to apply for SST, you are required to pass 12th grade, have 60% or above in Mathematics and be of age 20 or below. You will have to give the NSET exam and Interview to apply for SST and the intakes will go on till the month of August. Hi Dev, yes, as a diploma student you are eligible to apply if you fulfil all the other eligibility criteria. However, we do not have the option of starting in the 2nd year. All diploma students will need to start in the 1st year.

This year we've removed English from our exam. We need basic English comms because the course is delivered in English. So don't worry, just do your best in the exam. There is a Hindi playlist on our channel that you can refer to for basic information

So you are saying that after 40 years everyone gets a salary of 6 crore? This is highly misleading. The salaries for most people plateaus after a certain level. There’s only so much one can grow. This is again not for everyone but most people. Of course there are exception but they are extremely rare. Also more salary comes with more responsibilities. Years of experience in this day and age means nothing. One has to consistently keep learning and growing. Just because you have a degree from a school doesn’t mean you will have an ever increasing salary. Even if you work at the biggest tech companies you still have to prove your worth every single day. And life throws a lot of challenges mid way. So factor all of that in. Not saying the course isn’t worth. It very well might be but just want to call out on that misleading stat. The senior most engineers today can’t make that big of a salary. Only C level execs possibly get that kind of salaries. Not suggesting that people can’t become one but not everyone. As with everything on the internet, whenever the word compounding comes, always be careful. It looks awesome on bars and charts but isn’t realistic.

Hi Gaurav, this is Manmeet here, I'm the one in the video, hence thought I'd reply myself. Firstly, I get your intent, it's coming from the pov of wanting to raise awareness for students, which I appreciate. Now, 1 thing that I'd like to point out is that, if adjusted for inflation at 5%, the present value of 6 Crs in 2064(40 Years Later) is 85L. I know techies with 10 Years of experience making that much today. So I don't think what we've shared is misleading. The point of that section of the video is how the gap in the 2 scenarios widen. Also, glad that you've pointed out that in tech, constant learning is super important. Hence, at SST the focus is always on learning how to learn rather than just mugging things up. If you feel that still what we've shared is wrong, happy to agree to disagree here :)

@@manmeetsinghakali Hi Manmeet Appreciate your response. And I am glad that you recognised my POV around awareness for students. I do understand the inflation and other things but careers are a lot more nuanced than projections. I know you can’t count for all that in a video. And while some people definitely today get 85l my point was that it is the exception (staff engineers plus in big tech or cashed up startups) and not the norm in the industry, and this will be true after 5 years or 10 or 40. That is top of the band salary and not the average. I can go on and on and probably you can too. So while we may not agree on everything, one thing we can definitely agree on is that students must be aware and all I was trying to do was put my perspective after working in the industry for 15 years. I hope students look at all perspectives before they take a huge financial and time commitment on themselves.

You're someone who regularly posts such comments on our video. What that tells me is that either you've not been selected at SST or you're some troll who has been paid to comment negatively by competition. Now addressing the point that you raised - if you're looking for a guarantee of a high-paying job, then this is not the right place for you. If CS is something you're genuinely passionate about we provide 2 things - one is an ecosystem to help you build a really strong profile & two is access to career partners that have been working with Scaler over the years. Given our past record, we're confident that students who put in the work, will succeed and those who come with an entitlement mindset, will suffer.

It's a great initiative but don't go there if you are passionate and poor coz if you are passionate about cs then you can learn anywhere. You don't have to pay 22 lakhs for an online degree. I decided to opt out...
