Amazing reaction to an amazing Angelina Jordan! And you are absolutely right -- EVERY time seems like the very FIRST time! Also, I had not seen her snippet of the song from the parking garage before. It's amazing too! But I have to say I still prefer the 10-year old version the best. At 10 singing this song on that stage, she was simply unbeatable by Nina Simone, Michael Buble, or ANYONE else!

LA garage, ain't no attendant

I always considered Nina Simone's rendition to be 'The Gold Standard' for this song. But that said, to me Angelina's rendition here is 'The Platinum Standard' for it. Add in the fact she was only 10 and it simply boggles the mind.

Major props to that tight band backing Angelina in the first part of the video! They're great too.

Captivating, entrancing, warm, welcoming, sincere, genuine, heartfelt, rich, fullbodied, are all adjectives to describe Angelina's voice. Now we could have another list for her vocal skills. Another for her vocal choices. Another for her arrangements. Another for her songwriting. But most of all we could write a book about the special person Angelina is, filled with love, hope and empathy while remaining humble.

The older Angelina gets, the more reinforced her voice becomes. Depth in any tone, I call it chocolate and there's a whole lot of chocolate going on in this little snippet. Cheers!

Her voice is so deep and powerful now that it reminds me of sitting in my brother's racing Porsche. The acceleration is scare and I can feel there was so much more in reserve. It also reminds me of looking into the sky far beyond.
