To everybody that can't tell the difference, this version is a little high pitched compared to the original to match the original key of "Air on the G string" which is the original song.

The original is in D but the real sound is quite close to C# because of baroque tuning. I think producer of Red Velvet want it sound like baroque.

Yeah, the original is definitely in baroque tuning pretty much on the dot and I do believe it was 1000% intentional....I mean, they released this song on Bach's bday

​@Skz_24 haha it can be but remember, back in baroque times there were no instruments to measure Hz. Today an A is 440hz no matter where you are. Back then that tone could vary a LOT (maybe a tuning fork wasn't molded with enough metal, maybe a tuner accidentally didn't tighten the string quite enough). In terms of hz, there's been documented evidence that an A could range anywhere from 390 to like 470 (considering 25 hz equates to a half step that's a HUGE variance). The reason why baroque tuning is a thing is actually bc of how harpsichords are constructed with the ability to slide easily a half step up or down so the half step down to A-415 (instead of 440) was commonly regarded and referred to as baroque tuning. The original of this rv song does that....bach Air is in D but in baroque tuning, it's closer to a C#

This song is peaked modern K-pop. It takes you on an adventure with twists and turns. Not just some generic anti drop beat.

Red Velvet is the definition of Elegance concept for me. No matter how experimental their music is,their elegance stayed in it . It is hard to find an elegance girl group bc most are either y2k or girl crush so Red velvet is refreshing and have special place in my playlist .

The chorus is already ridiculously but beautifully high in the original, so i think thats why they changed the key 😅

It lowkey sounds like a JOY solo now and I'm here for it !!

Air on G string is my all-time favorite classical music piece and so when FMR first came out, I felt like I was thrown off of a tall building the first time I watched and listened to it. This video makes so much sense to me at first listen, though it also made me appreciate the original FMR more than ever.

it's staying true to the original key of bach's "air on the g string", which is in d major. although many classical pieces do include key changes, air on the g string does not. hope this helps ! :)
