Matthew, I really enjoyed your interview with Reefbum. As a 30+ year reefing veteran it gave me a deeper appreciation for what you are doing for beginners. Keep it up.
Seriously love this guy! Whenever he makes a video it’s always so jam packed with info! I’m seriously learning so much! thank you!

Come on BRS let this guy spread his wings and fly!! He's gold on the knowledge side and just flows when presenting it....
Feeding a variety of foods is great for our fish. Good job on recognizing the different dietary needs of different fish as one specific food won’t properly suffice. Great editing job Mathew. 👌
Matthew and Thomas bring a different energy with great information and product reviews. They both are not only very informative but they make you want to watch more. Great job guys!!
Loving the videos!! Im making my own food with shrimp, scallops, a tin of cyclops, one pack of frozen mysis cubes. I add vit C, garlic extract and selcon. feed twice a day and the evening feed i also add hikari seaweed extreme to the mix. the batch usually last around a month and a half.
Shouldve added Easy Masstick as an honorable mention. That sticky glass food is just simply amazing. Even finicky eaters cannot resist
I’m a big fan of the NYOS German certified organic pellets. I use the Goji and the Algae pellets and they are a huge hit with my fish! They are soft, sink at a moderate rate, and can be mushed or crumbled for smaller fish way easier than hard pellets.
Matthew is so helpful!! best educational videos ever....
My fish hate pellets but just recently i discovered Nyos bran pellets and they love them. They arent as hard as other pellets. Just “food” for thought… lol see what i did there!?
As usual another great video Matthew. Thanks 😊
A little late to the video but had I not seen that jar of BRS brand freeze-dried calanus, I probably would've never known that BRS has their own food options. Welp, guess I know what I'm adding on to my next order. Great videos!!!
For frozen food, why not recommend PE Mysis shrimp because of it's 69.5% protein, 8.35% fat, 2.75% fiber, and 5.5% ash? That seems like it's more more nutrient dense than either Hikari mysis or Canadian mysis brands you recommended.
Another quality video! 👌 would to pick your brain one day for tips and tricks to improve my tanks
this is such an interesting topic. i always try to have a varied diet
Great...now I want a Twinkie.
Funny my Clown Trigger loves Seaweed Extreme and Nori, even more than my Powder Blue Tang would like Twinkies.
I feed a range of vitalis flake only. All fish are doing great.
I take whateverm my tank will eat (by population) and mix it up and feel that.
Thanks for this video. I used to add Selcon or frozen but now you are saying it’s not well absorbed by frozen. I mostly feed Hikari mysis but heard it’s giving fish a Big Mac. Seriously? My tailspot blenny doesn’t care for flake but he tastes it but spits it out.
Flakes and pellets are my favorite but frozen foods are often given as a treat as I don't want the fish I have to get used to the treats so it's a once a week treat.
My fish eat it all, except that Seaweed Extreme. I have 3 mid size tangs that could care less about it...
If you intend to be away for a week at a time (vacation/business trip) and thus feed pellets with an auto feeder, should you also be sticking to pellets when you're home so they'll be used to them? Or will the fish adapt? Thanks. Love your videos!

Definitely best to get them used to the pellets ahead of time. While some fish will eat just about anything you throw in the tank, some are really picky eaters and will take time to get used to different food types.
Am I supposed to dice the mysis shrimp? It's way too big for my fish and corals.

Had the same problem. PE Mysis are big. Try Hikari mysis. They are like 1/3 the size.
Lrs reef frenzy is the only food I feed. All my fish are fat and happy.
My fish love new life spectrum and it has so much garlic in it. Fish love it and it keep parasites at bay.
I got 2 baby clownfish, only ones in a new tank. I tried flakes .5 pellets, mysis shrimp, they keep goimg for it and spitting it out. Waters parameters are good, whats going on? Got them on Saturday its Monday.

Sometimes it can take trying a few different types of food to find one that they really like. You can also try some live foods like live brine. While adult brine shrimp isn't all that nutritious, it's a great way to entice a fish to start eating in a new tank.
I wonder how many takes the Twinkie clip took 🤔 probably take me about 8 takes and 10 Twinkies 😂
is there any best time to feed the fish?

Aside from the lights being on, there really isn't a best time to feed your fish. Just look into the feeding habits of the fish you plan to keep as some like to be fed multiple times per day vs one larger feeding.
As a brit, I was very disappointed with twinkies

What if your fish is a vegan?
Can i give raw shrimp to my clown fish?

Aquarium foods are rarely cooked, so that shouldn't be an issue. Of course, that's assuming that it's cut up into pieces small enough for your fish. Check out this video where we made our own DIY fish food! kzread.info/dash/bejne/fmWlxbSQhrK_l84.html
