Wow. Thank you so much for informing us. I use Gerber Soothe and this could have been a huge issue for us as we purchase both the small and larger cans depending on what is available in the store. I feel this is so irresponsible of the company to have no information for parents and should rename these formulas. It could be an issue for so many babies. Thank you again!!

Thank you for this video! I normally buy the larger cans but we’re about to go out of town so I ordered a small can for the few days we are going to be gone. It looked different so I immediately came and checked your channel. I am so mad about the change because sometimes you need the smaller size can!! It’s ridiculous that we can’t get the formula we have been using in anything smaller than the large tub. But thank you so much for the informative video!!

I work in WIC and we are a state that issues Gerber products. Unfortunately you are not able to get the large cans of Gerber even with a doctors notes. Your are also not able to get another formula that might be similar UNLESS it’s a special formula like a hypoallergenic. So someone that uses this formula and is on WIC won’t have the option to get the larger cans. I am very sad to hear they made this switch ONLY to the small cans.

I literally had to call gerber because I ask wic is something was different from the formula they told me no . I definitely noticed something off on the formula so I called gerber hotline and that’s when they told me it was only a slight change in protein levels my son threw it up for weeks

Wow I didn’t have any idea!! So I have a 6 year old and I fell in love with the Gerber Gentle. I was breastfeeding and I had such a horrible time finding a formula that didn’t make my babies Poop into a clay.. my mom told me about Gerber gentle.. this was 6 years ago. Then I just had a baby and I couldn’t find the orange Container that said gentle similar to breast milk and I wasn’t sure if the gentle pro was same or different because there is an orange Can but it’s hard to find. So thank you for clarifying this for me. I did end up ordering 5 large cans of the Gerber gentlePRO from Amazon, because after reading the ingredients I was pretty sure that it was the closest to what I had with my 6 year old. Sooo glad I went with my gut and got the gentle pro. Because it’s the best formula I have ever tried. I have researched ingredients for many many types of formula. My two oldest kids had to go through the trial and error with trying different types, and I really wish we had you at that time but it was a little bit before KZread got popular.

I fell my baby has a lot of pain I was using the purple but now I Bey the orange color which one can you recommend me. He cry’s and it look like it hurts his tommy a lot. What can I do?

Yeah due to this Similac recall, they've allowed here soothe pro and I'm extremely scared... The fact that they changed only one size is extremely suspicious, this is the only size you can get on WIC...it seems like a conspiracy...

My son just threw up formula out of nowhere. We have been using the new cans for about a month now, would it have taken this long ? Or would we have noticed a change immediately

Thank you for this review! I can't even find the small containers anywhere!! I am wanting to switch to Gerber from Gentlease. Do you think that the amount of whey or the amount of lactose is more likely to upset baby's tummy!

This hurts a lot of parents on WIC, especially the states that are contracted with Gerber! Shame on Gerber. It doesn't make sense that they'd do that, just change up the recipe on the 12.7 cans. But like you mentioned, the bigger powder cans are still PRO, ready to feed and concentrate. I'm breastfeeding and I just started supplementing with Gerber. Thank goodness I only bought 1 12.7 can because I just started supplementing! So this is not ok! If it wasn't your video I never wouldn't have known!!!!! I'm fully stocked up on the concentrate form and some bigger cans.

@Helen Hines is the concentrate harder to find there??? I'm in WI and it's fairly easy to find. I'm glad your baby is fine with the new formulation. I'm breastfeeding, and I'm pretty positive that my LO, can drink the new formulation, but I'd rather much stick to something gentle on his belly. Not saying the new formulation isn't gentle, but it the pro's formulation is obviously broken down the intact proteins (hydrolyzed). However, I do like that the new formulation is 100% Lactose. It adds a bit of sweetness to it. I do buy the concentrate gentle pro, unfortunately the concentrate does not have the probiotics like the powder form does for the "Pro".

Does this mean that they may roll out the same changes to the larger sizes in the future? Not cool regardless.

I know those is 2 years old, but it breaks my heart that gerber changed the ingredients just so wic could save money. As of this comment, I don't think our state WIC program offers these gerber formulas as options.

Wic in my state only covers similac line of the 12 oz cans only...I wonder if it has to do with wic. Maybe it’s cheaper to make it that way for wic.

This is exactly why. I found a letter online about it.

My 2 month old was on Happy baby formula and was doing good but I changed formula to enfamil Reguline since happy baby wasn’t a partially hydrolyzed, and now my baby has diarrhea... what should I do? Should I go back to happy baby? Or continue with enfamil reguline? Help!

Reguline is for constipation so it promotes soft stools. That is why.

Is it okay to trust gerber when nestle owns them?

Is Good start soothe and Good start soothe pro different

Yea. She explained it in video. Soothe is INTACT whey + caesin proteins, soothe pro is 100% partially hydrolyzed whey. Other than that they're both reduced lactose. Gentle and gentle pro have more differences in lactose percentages.

What about babies who are going from breastfeeding,

Feeding Gerber Baby formula..Tanya Hanna ... prescription..the brothers Grimm..🧙‍♀️💤💤🧟‍♀️... yummy!
