Feeding Beef Cattle near Mandan North Dakota with Chad Berger Bucking Bulls

In this video I flew out to Bismarck North Dakota where I met up with some coworkers. We then visited West River Equipment in Mandan North Dakota and went out to a farm and cattle ranch belonging to Chad Berger Bucking Bulls and got to see the farms Deutz Fahr 6175 tractor in action feeding their beef cattle herd. First part of the video the 7175 tractor is hooked to a Vermeer VT830 twin screw mixer then they unhook the mower and install the Deutz Profiline FZ60.1 loader and move and feed some round bales around and feed their horses.

Kinda neat to see a closer view of the yard as I drive by it every day to go to the farm I work for. Fun fact, my family actually owns one of Chad’s older deutz tractors similar to the one you showed at the end of the video

Enjoyed this video, I would like to see more of this type of content. As I feed a few bulls it’s good to see how it’s done on the other side of the globe. Regards from Down Under.

Another awesome video of Mike, if you ever make it back to the farm it would be interesting. If you could interview the owner about his operation, the genetics he uses and how he gets world champion, bucking bulls.

You failed to mention that these are the large round bales not the little ones we are used to seeing in Ohio. I have heard some of these alfalfa bales can weigh a full ton. These looked more like grass hay which were probably in the 1500-1600 lb range. Two of those on the front end of a regular loader is a big load.

Greetings Mike! were you being somewhat sarcastic - or is that me: Bucking Bulls .... looks like the Deutz is doing some or could be worse. I refer of course to that 2 quite large bales up front and so high up. Stability issues when NO REAR-end ballast is being used. Had occasion recently with a Customer's tractor -had very soft rear tyres and lifting to the limit ( OH it's just a simple lift-up and down story) but the load side shifted over centre and nearly took the tractor with it. I keep telling people that. Rear wheel weights ONLY ADD to the total front axle (over)loading and also if the front tyres are not equally inflated, then look out! Maybe you could do a follow up to illustrate that for your followers. Cheers and have a Dram on us! Slàinte Mhath or , as they would say in Lauingen _ Einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr, Prost!

I would definitely think beef cattle would be fed a different ration on the feedyard than a dairy cows would be fed. Beef cattle are fed to fatten them up for market and dairy cows are fed for milk production but to not get fattened up
