Anderson silva was well rounded he just didnt use his entire Arsenal. He was very very good at jiu jitsu hes currently a 3rd degree black belt but he didnt show it because he was such an amazing striker

Chael was very good except his massive hole in his game was defending submissions. All of chaels losses prior to the silva rematch were by submission. So really i dont think anderson getting taken down by chael proves that anderson had bad takedown defense

Chechen and Dagestani relations with the ethnic Russians has improved since the 90's, with Pro-Russian Kadyrov in power, etc. They are as much Russian, as the Scottish are British.
