Before I worked here I always tried to look for a video showing the actual test for drivers and I could never find one , so I decided to record and upload it myself for others to see👍🏻

@@magnoliamystery1288 basically it was just in and out cones like a snake, reverse straight between cones, parallel park, then 3 point turn and back into a spot between two cones.

Never had to really do any test like this just went out on a simple driving test for like 30 mins with the contractor and thats all.

Thank you for this video. Just a heads up anyone considering going to Fedex Express just know that June of 2024 you guys will be merged with fedex ground and will be under a contractor no longer fedex as a company. This merger is suppose to help out with the inflation that the contractors are dealing with. Just wanted to give everyone that heads up thats looking into Fedex Express.

They had the non DOT van under maintenance so I had to use a DOT truck for my training today. Gotta love Amazon. Was fun though! At least I’ll be over prepared for non DOTs

Take in mind, this is alot harder with a W700 if thats what you operate at fedex

I ran over cones going forward and non in reverse.

I’m with ground and still struggling on this final exam 🙄 I keep scoring a 74 when to pass I need a 75🤦🏽‍♀️ I’m bout this close to just switching over to warehouse

Are the cones always that spread out?? I’m taking my test Tuesday

Ground is not Fedex, so they really can’t regulate the contractors to do this.

@@1smae100 I think they only randomly drug test DOT positions. I might be wrong though. Everyone gets drug tested pre employment.

Thanks for the video. Does anyone know if Fedex makes you do this your first day of training or do you go through in person orientation, defensive driving video's, etc before doing the practical dricing test stuff?

No u do abuncha Bs computer training and then after you finish you will be scheduled for either a ride along or Defensive driving but this is called defensive driving test so it takes a few days to get to it. Make sure you read your pre trip paper and 5 keys, so your not lost.

@shshshaa9114 Thanks. I'm terrified. If they make me parallel park the van, I'm toast. I can do the pylons back and forward, pretty well. 5 keys? Assuming u mean Smith ones (aim high, big picture etc?)

@luciouspontorro3741 on ur first day they will give u a 5 keys if defensive driving paper and tell u to study it, make sire you do that, it's pretty easy and yeah they make u parallel park but you'll get abuncha time to do it. It took me 5 times

@luciouspontorro3741 lol your good it's with cones not vehichles. So your ok with that hahha, theirs also monitors too see your back side so you'll be good but yes it's with cones only.

Is this required for fedex ground also heard in other videos they use the breaking speed insurance things if you go wrong within it they deduct from your paycheck money and also no overtime is paid meaning if j don’t deliver within time frame u work for free

Same i was nervous even tho i drove same size at amazon ig the vibe between amazon and fedex waa different fedex is alot more strict

It's harder on a motorcycle. Lol

Dude put my cones way too close together. I killed three cones.
