Federal Signal 2001-SRNB Siren Test Wyoming, Ohio
Monthly test of this Federal Signal 2001-SRNB outdoor warning siren in Wyoming, Ohio. It is located next to the Wyoming City Administration Building on Oak Avenue, and is part of Hamilton County's siren system.
The strange things about this month's test are the short alert signal after the growl and the few hiccups at the beginning of the attack signal. At first, I thought it was doing fast wail, but right now I think it has to do with the activation signal being sent out 2 more times.

No, the older SRNBs have the smaller fs logo on the front. You must be thinking of it's predecessor the 2001-SRN. They had the smaller logo and they just changed the rotator box when they made it into the SRNB. Then they decided later in production that they wanted to make the logo bigger on the SRNB. So then in 2006 they changed the amplifier to make the siren produce 2 decibles louder and they renamed it the 2001-130. There, I just told you the SRNB story. P.s, 4 of them will be going off today at noon in where I live.
nice video, interesting growl. I was able to record the attack signal of the sirens by work from my i-Pod which I'll post later.
Its an SRNB, because it has a square rotator box. SRNs have rectangular rotator boxes
This is a 2001 SRN, It has the Small FS Logo, if it was a SRNB it would have the Large FS Logo. But you could be right, i am just going by my knowlage, my town has mostly SRN's and that is the size of the Logo, and we have 2 SRNB's and the Logos are bigger than that.

This is a 1st Gen 2001-SRNB. 1st gens come with small logos and 2nd gens come with big logos. if you can tell this 2001 has a square rotator box while SRNS Have rectangular boxes.
That is messed up. For one fast wail should be longer than that(Wind downs) and what is with the rotator stopping on windowns in the attack in the end?
Hmmm attack signal was odd, lol
