So last year I had a free Saturday to record my county's monthly siren test. Sadly, it was raining which limited my options. I decided upon recording this 2001-SRN at Southridge High School. There's a cemetery nearby which had a nice hill and some trees where I could take refuge. But honestly the rain and gloomy skies gave a nice vibe. Not to mention the echo off the school was intense. From a distance, this 2001 packed a surprising punch. Now only if it sounded wail...
Sirens in Dubois County are tested every first day of the month at 4PM in Jasper, and 6PM everywhere else. The test is weather permitting, but clouds and light rain isn't going to cancel a test.

I personally like the older types of sirens, rather than the modern types of sirens because the old sirens have a certain character to them. Still a great video though!

There’s an old 2001 Federal Signal that’s been out of service for years in my hometown. No idea why it was but nearby is the T-128’s. 3 in one 2 1/2 mile area. I miss the old sound.

I wonder what in the world does the FSK activate. Iirc, it is only for polling but since you say it is activation commands then I think it could be for some newer sirens in the county with FCs?
