This siren is part of the Spartanburg County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested on the first Saturday of every month weather permitting at 1:00 pm and is controlled by the Spartanburg County Emergency Management Agency
The last siren I wanted to record is the 2001-130 in Mayo, SC. I recorded this siren nearly two years ago, and it was an excellent shot for the most part. After I was done recording Shelby, I had to find a nearby siren in Spartanburg that I can get to on time, and little behold it would be this one. This siren is located at the Mayo Area Fire District on 150 Church St, Mayo, SC
