Fedelcode Model 5 Noon Blast Farmer City, IL 12-5-17

Ойын-сауық

Siren: Fedelcode Model 5A, 690 Hz
Town: Farmer City, IL
Location: Main St. and Market St.
Test Time: Every Day at 12 PM
Cycle: 20 second blast
Other notes: After the successful test in Bloomington, I hung around the Clinton Exelon zone photographing sirens, and I decided to see if Farmer City did a noon blast. I had no idea whether they did or not, but since they had 2 sirens in downtown, I figured one of them went off and sure enough one did. The Model 5 I assume is used for noon blasts and fire calls while the 2001-DC is used for tornado warnings.
Farmer city has this Model 5 and 2001-DC, a 2001-SRN on the southwest side of town, and a few T-128s outside of town owned by Clinton Exelon.

Never mind that they literally have the same chopper. (actually, I believe the 2001s chopper came from the 12 port side of the 3T22, and also the model 3. The model 5 and 7 are a bit bigger in rotor diameter, and the sth-10 bigger still.

My old town :) Lived there from 2002 to 2017. I moved to Le Roy in July of 2017, about a 15 minute drive away in neighboring McLean county. We have a really strange siren here by the post office.

I know which siren you're talking about, and it's definitely one of the cooler sirens in the area. Just curious, does that sound every day at noon like the siren in this video or no?

Looks like a 2001-DC. I don't know if the SRNs have that black outline around the horn.
