'Fed Did Serious Damage to the Housing Market': Ironsides' Knapp

Ironsides MRA Institutional Chief Market Strategist and Macroeconomics Director of Research Barry Knapp says the Fed has caused serious damage to the housing market by the way they've tightened, and does not agree with Neel Kashkari's expectation that the Fed alone can bring inflation to 2%. TS Lombard Macro Strategy Director Skylar Montgomery Koning gives her expectations for inflation and says as we see a US supply side rebuild we could get some downside surprises on inflation. They speak with Sonali Basak on "Bloomberg Real Yield."

Raising the interest rates seems a non-sensical way to slow down spending. Just raise taxes until inflation comes down.

The price of homes is insane, the interest rates need to go up to put an end to this,

I think it's time to make it more appealing for potential buyers. Real estate can be quite the rollercoaster! the stress and uncertainty are getting to me. I think I'll cut rents to attract potential buyers and exit the market, but i'm at crossroads if to allocate the entire $680k liquidity value to my stock portfolio?

"Overall, buyers hold a lot of the cards right now, and sellers are having to give out more concessions to close a deal." All the best, buying on sale is actually one of the best ways to invest in stocks, and advisors are ideally suited for such task

It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.

This sound interesting. I’m not really one to use pro analysts, but I guess it would not hurt to try one. My portfolio is in the red waters right now

Well, there are a few out there who know what they are doing. I tried a few in the past years, but I’ve been with Melissa Terri Swayne for the last five years or so, and her returns have been pretty much amazing.

Appreciate this recommendation, hopefully I can get some insight to where the market is headed and strategies to beat the downtrend with when I hear back from Melissa.

The FED's low interest rate policy for years contributed to the sky high rise in house prices.
