Donald always IS the I.M.S. Historian that is, as of this month: May, 2024, celebrating his 60th Year of being "the man with the Speedway history". Now I know about the 1970's to some of the '80's years of Spike Gillhausen...where he got his first name via the harlious "Spike Jones Band" of the 1940's and '50's. Haha!

Imagine trying to hustle this beast around "The Brickyard" for 500 grueling miles. It took nothing less than an ironman to be able to withstand the pounding dynamics while having two exhaust pipes dump out HOT GASSES just 16-18 inches in front of the cockpit as they were exiting from the car's cowling with only that small wind screen for protecting the driver. This sort of race car, among other ingenious designs, are what made the Indianapolis 500 such an incredible endurance race for both man and machine!

I have an early grille from a supercharged NOVI. A close friends dad worked for ? and he gave it to me because I was in to cars. if interested I'll send photos for ID.
