Gene is such a beast. All his notes are tight.

The rhythm section from strapping young lad and front line of fear factory, arguably their best live sound. I wish they did more with this line up. An unusually longer set too, it's no wonder burt damaged his voice so much, unsustainable to sing like this on long tours. It was touching and fitting to have burt sing something from the watchers at the end, something he loved dearly, without all the ff turmoil. Thank you for releasing this, probably the best live recording of them, I saw ff first time in 99, they were my favourite band, \m/-

I saw Fear Factory in 1992 &.1999. They are powerful Live!!!!

Great footage! Such a joy to see and hear Gene playing those songs!

@@janhenrikbauer I think the same, Burton can't sing clean vocals anymore (he was always a better studio melodic singer), and his gutturals are amazing live, almost like recordings 👌🏻

Acres of Skin might be the best song ever made hahaha... idk why it NEVER gets old for me. Countless miles run and weights lifted listening to that one.

We already knew Burton couldn’t do clean vocals anymore, but pleeeaaase keep Dino away from the mic at all times! Those vocals during Linchpin… 😖

the key to this lineup is byron. what happened to it was nothing of a burton thing, it was dino not accepting someone who was a lot like dino himself. i got kicked out of dinos ff facebook group after explaining dinos and burts astrology charts. dino and gene however are both virgo. this was the coolest lineup since obsolete, or the best they ever had.

@@revivedfears the world of professional musicianship is wonderful as long as youre a fan. you get proper offers and deals. you buy the album, you buy the ticket, you buy the shirt. you enjoy what you get, you never get assaulted by band members and record industry players and they politely thank you. STOP. ALL OF THIS COMFORT GOES AWAY when you decide to be a player, a producer, a creator who tries to make a commercial product. your intentions MAY BE to simply get a payment for the work you do, but you'll find out that the simple rules are gone, and people suddenly demand you buy 1000 tickets, 1000 albums, 1000 shirts worth of money, and maybe you also get permission to sell these afterwards to get your money back, but maybe some third party comes in telling you you need to buy 1000 additional shirts to gain permission to sell the first 1000 for half the profit you calculated when you bought them for the first time. this is a sketch of what might have happened here...

Really? The left side cam was a bit too low so I chopped his head, the manual cam right was a bad piece of gear and the girl was one of the amateurs in the team and it was something I was a bit disappointed with

This was my favorite lineup, as well. I got to see him twice on this tour but they had 35-40 minutes sets, too quick.

Thank you SO much for this recording. The audio mix is spot on and the video, while a bit oldschool at times in the transitions, is great! Saw them on this tour 3 days before this date, it brings back so many memories. For me, the best line-up FF has ever had (Mechanize is their 2nd best album after Demanufacture and Genexus is their 3rd, fight me). Hoglan is tighter than a metronome and make the whole sound so organic and precise. For the rest, great setlist, sloppy Burton cleans and laughable backing vocals from Dino as always. Business as usual but God, how I miss this band. Thanks again!

They werent that bad....Lol. Ive heard worse from them. Id say the best Burton vocal era was in 2004. If he had those vocals with this lineup....man. All and all great show in my book.

@@darkallyrecordings4931 I concur I was fortunate enough to see Fear Factory twice in 2004 at H.O.B. Sunset Strip with Christian on guitar. 2nd gig in 04 was a coheadlining gig with Lamb of God. All to say yeah Burton was on fire during the Archetype tour!

@@danadane2501 Yeah....I got to see them in 2004 as well.....I think Morbid Angel was supporting. My band got to play on the supporting stage inbetween set change. Edit - I may be mistaken.....I think it was trivium that was supporting. I think Morbid Angel was supporting Superjoint Ritual.

@@danadane2501 The band I was in at the time was called Pride before a fall. Didnt really go anywhere. We did play a few high profile shows but thats about it. dont think theres anywhere you can listen. I can upload some instumentals if you like. Its metalcore...nothing special.

The very last concert i think was in Poland - Poznań. I was not there. I should be. 😢😭☹

I was saw them in Hamburg twice Mechanize and Genexus was a blast now Burton C Bell the Heart from Fear Factory is gone hope he makes further a spli like Venom and queensryche both are there with two different singers so hope burton will be go further with Fear Factory

Harsh vocals are awesome but clean singing is so painful to listen to it really ruins the performance, I'd choose Milo over Burton since 2010.

Go to setlist.fm and click on a song in a setlist there, you'll see statistics, and shows where it was played. This wasn't the obsolete tour tho. I think It's the 5th most played song of the o album, charting after the 4 songs in this setlist. It wasn't a gene hoglan suited song hmm?

I missed them on this European tour as i came down sick with glandular fever the day i was to see them. Not sure i would bother these days either, seeing it is now just Dino and a young Burton sound-a-like, plus the last few albums havent been that hot.

The harsh/growls are 112% on point, his cleans however... embarrassing.

They need samples and the delay and chorus on vocals. The clean doesnt sound THAAAT WAAYY

Dino is an exellent guitarrist but very bad backing vocalist 😆

I love Burton but the band is so much better without him. Milo has rejuvenated FF. I wish Gene would come back but Pete is good too.
