I'm from the UK and these people are such cowards!!.. If they wasn't able to go into cold water or eat unmentionables, then why go on the show?...Did they think they'd be eating chicken sandwiches? Bathing in warm water? simply be handed a cheque?...Utter waste of a good show!

Agreed. These challenges are all nothing compared to the American version and even those don't look too hard...and you have these people being too wimpy about it. Maybe IF this ever comes back to the UK, we should apply.

It's easier said then done.. you might be ok with having a 9mm pointed at you.. but swaloving those bad boys is a feat.. and as far as other tasks, you'd have to be a life-long survivalist to not give a crap.. ;-)

The red team was very, very weak...I really wanted for them to win the money but....this was so sad....well, what can we say other than "the winner takes it all"...well done green team!

Me too.......I am so tired of hearing that EVERY episode.

6:57 Claustrophobic? You're in a pool that is like 50 feet wide and long, that isn't claustrophobia, that is just because it is such cold water that it slows you down and makes you feel restricted. 41:55 That Mick guy was a beast at the ladder climb! He went up to the buoy in 24 seconds, less than half the time of the quickest person!

It's not that they can't swim, it's the shock that there bodies go through because it is extremely cold, and you feel like you can't get out. Don't go and say bad things about women.

I love how every episode has had a Sara/Sarah or Claire and a hairdresser XD

dude im LMAO on that diving in and coming out of the water of those ladies xD but seriously, you cant blame them, it must take a very good swimmer to do that stunt.

If I was eating a testicle, I'd just think of it as a baked potato, covered in steak juice...? Meh it'd be worth a shot.

This is like challenge . there is no fear in this uk version.

the third stunt looked more like fun than fear..seriously, it would be pretty awesome jumpin' off a heli ..

I can see what you mean, but keep in mind that this is the first season of U.K. Fear Factor, so the contestants probably haven't seen what they're getting into. On the U.S. version, it seemed like more people chickened out in the earlier seasons. I remember in the first season of U.S. Fear Factor, one guy wouldn't even attempt the rat pit, and this one girl quit because she had to eat ONE worm. And let's not forget when the Playmates attempted the same ice stunt shown in this episode.

you clearly havent tried to swim in freezing water before... it's like your lungs become 10 times smaller your natural instinct is to take a massive breath but you can't in that challenge. going down 3 layers of ice is almost impossible i think

Why do they do Fear Factor UK in South Africa and no in the UK?

The first stunt isn't very fair. No-one can really help if the cold water gets to them. It is "FEAR factor"... the fact they even go under the water knowing they are partially trapped should be the whole thing. The cold water taking away their breath is basically nature... so it's not fair on them at all

It's supposed to be competitive, if the stunt was as you said then they would be paying them 3k for staying inside icy water for 5-10 seconds. That would be lame beyond belief.

I do understand, as much as possible without ever having tried something similar myself, that they find it disgusting, which applies to me as well. My point is that, exactly because it's all in the head, they should have prepared mentally before entering a show which they knew beforehand would be like that and not display such an attitude. If they were looking for easy money they should have applied for big brother!!
