Canon points to everyone’s hard mode endings being true, so while you’re right about “yes and no” to l’garde being dead, it’s because of d’arce’s ending, where she revived l’garde in his skinless form. This is shown by l’garde in the second game being skinless once unmasked.

Yeah, generally I use the A ending and the S endings to fill in the canon gaps. I do have a video going more into Legarde and why I think his C ending is canon, but that videos gonna take another month or two sadly. Thanks for the comment!

not all of the s endings are canon, i’m pretty sure that the s ending for cahara isn’t canon, and that the real ending for cahara is where he brings the girl to the depths and dies at the bottom

Finding legarde was how I started fear and hunger. I kept starting over and over until I figured it out lol. I treated it like a roguelike. I only saved when I finally reached him and made it out to relative safety lol

I remember playing F&H 1 and running into the night lurch in the mines. I didn’t know what was about to happen, would happen, and when it did I literally yelled, “DID THAT THING JUST RAPE ME?! OH MY GOD MY ASSHOLE IS PERMANENTLY BLEEDING!” And my girlfriend looked at me very confused 😅
