Oh yeah, both paralogues are hell, especially on Maddening, but the Constance/Yuri one takes the cake for me. Suddenly flooding the map with reinforcements from all sides that rush you is bull enough as it is, but now you have to keep an npc alive on top of it as well!

I thought the Constance /Yuri one was extremely fun and close to original FE games, at least on maddening. The Hapi/Balthus one was challenging but also a whole different level for me since hapi was level 5.. lol oops

I did both sidestories on an Azure Moon route with hard difficulty, but I had recruited the Ashen wolves to early and didn't want to grind for them so I waited until chapter 9 and 10 so my real party members were levelled up enough. This didn't mean the two chapters were a piece of cake but I had way more problems with main hapter 12.

I know this comment is quite old but listening to it just now I noticed I think that section shares a lot of notes with Song of the Nabateans but played at a different tempo and with notes missing in between different sections to make it sound really distorted. Maybe that's intentional, since Song of the Nabateans is Rhea's theme and the Cindered Shadows plot involves her influence?

I always loved how this theme feels like it has 4 different parts as if it represents each of the Ashen Wolves, and it feels like it goes in the order you fight them. The first part feels very fierce and intense like Balthus who likes fighting, the second part feels pretty, calm and the most quiet like Hapi, the third part feels very energetic, triumphant and loud (the loudest) like Constance, and the last part feels very tricky, serious and confusing like Yuri. Even in the last part there’s a part where the Edge of Dawn is playing backwards just to add on to how the song feels tricky. This had to be intentional

This theme is SOOOO good!

I didn’t expect this good of a music. This is the first map theme....oh man. The level of care that went into Fire Emblem 3H was absolutely fantastic. Never have I ever had to spam divine pulse so many times. This was truly a test of strength, resourcefulness, endurance and patience.

When I first played Cindered Shadows I was very excited to see what the Wolves would be like, and then the battle started and this theme began playing and I got goosebumps. It fits them so well. I just expected to get Fódlan Winds or Chasing Daybreak or something, but then this theme played and oof. Amazing. (Also 1:25-1:57, perfection)

I got a -hp +spd Yuri that I foddered Death Strike 4 and Lull Atk/Def from Dimitri. And I got a -Spd +Res Constance that I honestly don't use too often but it's nice that she's here.

idk what it is man. But listening to FE three houses songs just makes me teary eyed. Idk why. I've beaten the whole game like 10 times on every route. Maybe its because i know I'll never get to experience the game for the first time again. The twist and turns, the cute and sad moments. Getting to know all the characters. I can only play the game so many times before it starts getting boring and repetitve. I loved this game. Any FE game that lets me have an "avatar" like Corrin, Robin and now Byleth are amazing. I yearn for when I first played this game. How excited I was.

Fire emblem has one of the best ost but i like undertales,chrono trigger and touhou osts are better in my opinion but all are downright amazing.

I still don't know if I prefer Zelda or FE: Both have amazing soundtracks.

No one points out how this theme just SOUNDS like the theme of a bunch of restless kids going to fight. It’s really well made

These maps were so hard compared to the main storyline oh my gosh. This route was the first time i EVER ran out of time reversals, healing items and was struggling man

Without a doubt the Hapi and Balthus paralogue, since I spent so much time on that one because I decided to do it as soon as it was available, on Maddening without NG+ no less. It was... pretty tough, needless to say.

@@HelloWorld11337 I wanted to push it until a few months later, but I was very stubborn and decided to keep trying to beat it. Took me about 5 tries but it was very satisfying to beat it. I also recruited the Ashen Wolves as soon as they were available. Hapi was just a measly mage at that point lol.

Definitely the first battle of Cindered Shadows. Just the excitement I felt about finally getting to know the Wolves and the idea of having to fight them in this huge underground corridor. And then on top of that, this theme playing in the background. Goosebumps.

0:48 I can't get over how amazing this Piano part is :) The distorted digital version of it is also a banger :)

Learned of this in Fire Emblem Heroes, thought it was a Heroes OST for the longest damn time

I agree but I also want Rowan and Lianna to be a Unlockable DLC character for Three Hopes hopefully they announce Three Hopes DLC in the Next Nintendo Direct maybe in the Summer on June 2022

Unfortunately, I don't believe there is a remix of this theme. It saddens me. However, Corridor of Tempest DID get a remake. Robbed

bro i- i got so lucky with the rng… he would have died like 4 times over due to him randomly walking into a demonic beast’s aoe, not to mention all those mounted reinforcements but luckily the rng gods spared me

This track is so freaking good. The instrumentation, moods, and melodies of the bridge and pre-hook sections remind me of old Final Fantasy games.

Ashen wolves are in base game but not this song for now unfortunately. Unless they remix this into some DLC content.

Really curious on why Yuri's hands are shaded in such an odd way, they look completely fine on his model... He's beautiful either way, though.

I remember this song playing while yuri 1 v 17 the whole enemy team and the death Knight because i put him on a 40% avoidance tile. It was super intense

God I just love how absolutely triumphant this song is. There’s so much power in the start, I feel like a genuine hero listening to it.

Its how explosive it is. At moments like 1:24 when you have that pause and then that explosion of triumphant horns and just overall loudness, I feel. That just makes you FEEL power.
